The gen increase base to 90 seconds is not needed
This is just making games even easier for killers and it's just more unnecessary time on generators for survivors making it more boring to play. The problem was that most killers didn't know how to spread pressure and keep track of gens, and play like bots and just follow what they see regardless of where they are. And there's endless amounts of gen defence perks in the game already like Corrupt, pop, scourge hooks, tremors, surveillance, discordance ect ect

Noed: hardly touched really, baby killers will still get their one kill with it.
Spine chill: Nerfed unnecessarily
Dead Hard: Gutted because of complaints but it's an important perk to have a chance of avoiding hits from high ping killers since it's server side validation.

BBQ and WGLF: Bloodpoints removed is a good change and i welcome that, often there was killers holding games hostage looking for that last bbq stack and you didnt want to give it to them because the team fed him easy kills, WGLF was bugged half the time and not giving stacks and was way harder than BBQ to get 4 stacks (almost impossible sometimes) BBQ was giving 4 stacks by just playing..

Unhooking enduarnce is way too short at 5 seconds and won't alter a desperate killers playstyle, you can just follow for 5 seconds and down them, most hooks are not close enough to a pallet or window either so 5 seconds should be double to 10 seconds if they wanted to discourage tunneling.

Buffs to perks like thanato which are not needed since long healing and slog matches should be discouraged.


I'm seeing alot more survivor nerfs here and alot that are unwarranted when the game is already very easy on killer side for good players. And i don't see any of the changes shifting a meta. Survivors are going to be bringing alot more tollboxes now and prove thyself for the longer gens implemented for no reason. Poor changes mostly with only a few good ones.

DS was nerfed in only one aspect, the one aspect that made it "haha i won the game, eat ♥♥♥♥ idiot" in the end game, which was bad for the health of the game and needed to be adressed.

Spine chill was kinda whatever and was always more of a crutch against every killer except for ghostface so while the nerf wasn't necessary, it was still pretty whatever to begin with if you're a person that posesses a pair of eyes.

Iron will was the most annoying bs perk in the videogame that let people get away with things by playing "stealthily" after getting smacked in the mouth by a clever, so really you can still be sneaky, just not with a gaping hole in your chest.
Did you even read the patch notes? They nerfed it in TWO ways it not activating in end game AND reducing the stun duration for no reason. Its the stun duration I'm really upset about because it already didn't do much to stop tunneling and now it will do even less. Especially against killers like Nurse and Blight, Everyone in solo q survivor better prepare themselves for a MASSIVE increase in tunneling.
It proof that they're only a reactive dev and not a proactive dev, it's volume of complaints that dictate balance and little else. Terrible way to balance the game.

yeah no, how many time a game does an experienced killer actually needs bloodlust 2 or 3. The change doesn't matter stop crying about everything

at this point, it’s just saddening how much they disregard solo survivors..needless to say still no information about when will we got other than a Kill/Escape counter as MMR..

The state of the game forces a lot of killers to tunnel

The survivors can win the game in 160 secs + travel time. (even faster with perks or toolboxes).

Example : I had a game this week, where they did 5 gens in less than 3 minutes.

In that short time the killer have to :
1. find a survivor.
2. catch up with the survivor.
3. break 3 palles and loops.
4. hit the survivor.
5. break 3 palles and loops (again).
6. down the survivor.
7. hooke the survivor
8. leave the hook to give the survivors a chance.
9. repeat this 3 times, just to get one kill. (more if the killer isnt tunneling)


Sadly i cant see any other solution to this than, tunneling just to secure some kills.
Im most games, kicking gens is pointless.

Generators take ~320 seconds to regress from 99.9... to 0 %. this is 4 times as slow as it takes to repair them. ( https://deadbydaylight.fandom.com/wiki/Generators?so=search#Damaging_Generators )

It takes 3secs to kick a gen.
The survivors just need to touch the gen to stop regression, it takes 0,1 sec to stop the regressing.

The survivors can go in 4 directions at the same time (because of 4 players), So they can cover the map 4 times as fast as the killer.

Dying on a hook takes 120 secs. ( https://deadbydaylight.fandom.com/wiki/Hooks?so=search#Hook_Stages ). So 3 gens can be done in the time someone is on the hook, and every survivor have 40 secs to spare.

The above calculations dosnt take account for the Toolboxes (that adds +50% / +75% / +100% to gen repair speed) Perks and Great skill checks that are boosing repair speed even more. And they can get further 20% and 30% speed with addons.

I am truly sorry survivors, but unless something is done about the gen repair time, and the regression, then i dont see this change.

And the more you fight this, the more tunneling and camping you will see.
You're going to be seeing more toolboxes now with this change and you can't blame them for that, it's the devs mistake.
How so, as far as im aware there can only be 4 in a game?
I often see 4.

- Anyway, with the Overzealous. I clearly see the advantage for the survivors.
With that change :

Gens will take 12,5% longer to do.

While gen repair speed with Overzealous x4 will be given a 32% faster to repair

Thats 19,5 % faster gen repair in the end.

On tops of that : Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance nerf, combined with the buffed Saboteur, pretty much ruins a lot of use for that perk.

Also the Lucky Break buff is insane. This WILL be the new meta.

Its not for baby killers or survs. This changes for high mmr games

This patch just proved my concern that they make changes by what baby killer mains say. Im afraid they will keep making everything easier for killer until the survivor community collapses.

yea i may have low hours but ive been playing dbd on and off since it was released, while keeping myself informed on a regular basis and im always at top rank for killer and survivor when i do play, doesn't take that long to get their tbh, all in all i know what im talking about.
So you play casually and have low hours but you keep up to date on everything and don't need experience. You have streamers or youtubers tell you their narrative of balance ect and therefore you're well informed? Ok

i dont watch youtubers on dbd updates and devblogs XD

Not to mention if the unhooker runs the BT perk then that gives the unhooked a 15 second bout of haste. No killer is going to waste their time with that unless that survivor really rubbed them the wrong way.
