My Idea for Hex: No One Escapes Death
Here's my idea for the perk Hex: No One Escapes Death.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A Hex rooting its power on hope. You are animated by the power of your Hex Totem when the Survivors are on the verge of escaping.

Once the Exit Gates are powered, if there is a Dull Totem remaining on the Map, this Hex is applied to it.

While Hex: No One Escapes Death is active, Survivors will all suffer from the Oblivious Status Effect. All Survivors' auras will be revealed outside of your terror radius and your Movement speed is increased by 3/4/5%.

The Hex effects persist as long as the related Hex Totem is standing.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is just an idea for a Hex: Noed Rework. Everyone has their own opinions on how this should be handled. I'd be happy to take criticism. You might even have your own idea. Even if you hate my idea, for some reason, ANYTHING is better than the current Noed.

Needs a nerf.

Actually you don´t know if the killer has NOED untill he hit´s an survivor with it. If NOED would just show up in the same moment the gates got energy you would have a better changse to handle it. This way it´s OP in my opinion. Some Totems are well hidden and finding one little object on the map, while beeing in a hurry is kind of hard.

There are 2 types of NOED,
1. against all solo's it can STOMP them
2. against SWF this perk is utter garbage.
Basicly noed in a nutshell

You can tell simply due to movement speed.

But that aside. Often when you see killers who are using it.. There are specific ways they tend to play the game. Most that are using it make it a bit obvious they are going to have it. Of course this is not always the case but a good portion of the time you can tell. Regardless why are you NOT doing totems when they give you the amount of BP they do? Lots of BP and helps make sure NOED is gone if the killer is using it.. Seems like a no brainer right?

Yet I mostly play solo, and I rarely see it stomp me or the survivors I am in the match with.. Guess I am just insanely lucky on that.

Like I said, some totems are well hidden. I destroy them if I can. But sometimes I can´t find them. And the difference between us is the time we spend in this game. I have 300hrs, you 1600! Ofc you can handle Noed better, for you have more experience. But I will probably never reach the 1000hrs in this game, and so do many others. I consider myself as a casual, even if 300hrs are not really casual anymore.
You know, many of those telling that a perk or a killer is OP are casuals like me. And those telling the perks and killers are not OP and easy to handle have 1000-2000 hrs in this game.
So what shall we do with that? From my point of view either one of the following must happen; The devs must find a way to make the game experience less frustrating for all the casuals, or just lable the game as something that nobody should play unless he/se is willed to play for 1000hrs and more.

Even three hundreds hours on record shall be enough to find Small Game in your Bloodweb, if the Totems do present such a challenge.
I haven't checked, whether you own SAW DLC Chapter or not, but if you've bought DbD w that chapter, there's Detective's Hunch, which I do consider to be the best way to find the Totems with no downsides.
There's also the Ultra Rare map, that shows auras of Hooks and Totems alike, while having about thirty or twenty seconds, until being burnt, which is a lot.

Furthermore, you can use the Map of Rare rarity and combine a few Add-ons to see the Totems, if I'm not mistaken.

Although I have about 1K hours on record, I must tell, I've spent about 100 hours in queues in total, that's without a doubt... Perhaps, we could add the time to set up a loadout, as well as to consume the Bloodweb.
The hours are counting, as if there was no tomorrow. Well, if you enjoy playing the game in the way you play it.
Personally, I'm also a casual player, but I have the basic, as well as advanced knowledges about half of the stuff in the game overall.
Naturally, I may get quiet, if we'd start talking about Sally, Philipo, Lisa, Dr. Herman, Amanda, and such killers, as I haven't been playing them long enough to be confident about all the advancements and abilities they can come up with, if I'd use the associated perks.
However, I know about the advanced stuff, when it comes to Rin Yamaoka, which is a huge plus nowadays, I'd say.

Even if I face Rin, and am kind of confident of being sacrificed, I'm not willing to give up that easily. At least, I'll waste as much of her time as possible, to give my friends, team mates, a chance to make it out.
That's what a huge portion of players tend to ignore, and complain afterwards; Naturally, it's impossible to escape, if the team mates ababdon you, and refuse to contribute to the single goal you all have in common.

To give a good idea i will start with that :
=> The perk itself is balance in regard of the gamecore and even weak.

Based on that here is the change proposed :
=> Nerf : remove the exposed state
=> Change : apply oblivious effect
=> Buff : increase of 1% the speed of the killer (similar to the first version of noed).
Edit : => Keep the same crappy hex totem system

Following the first point and the analysis of the change you propose, why would i say "it is a good change" or just "if this change is done i will use more than before" (as noed is not a part of top tier most used perks) ?

I don't want to flame you but out of the speed bonus (with 1% of speed) there is nothing good to take ...

I always run Devour Hope over NOED if I have it on whatever kiler. People will just bail after you down 1 person with noed. Where as with Devour if it survives until 3 stacks you can take someone completely off guard. and it's still the middle of the match so you will probably get more free downs eventually leading into free mori. I really don't see any use for NOED outside trolling survivors.
Furthermore, if Devour is cleansed, chances are it's because you have a totem jockey in your lobby and NOED would be cleansed regardless before it even activates via all totems being wiped out.

I do not own any DLC, and I dont want to buy one. And even if the game counts loadingscreens and stuff to the ingame time, you still have spend fife times more time in this game. Wich is okay, I have spend that many hrs in other games. But we are getting a little off topic.
The thing is, that there are often situations where you can´t get all the totems. For whatever reason. And then Noed get´s exposed the moment the Killer hits someone with it. If the survs would know Noed is activated the moment the fifth gen is running, they´d have at least a little more time. You´d still have the problem to hide and find that totem, but the way it actually is Noed feels like it´s a bit unfair.

Well, that's just the time of glory for the killer.
To be honest, I'm against all of the Hex effects' notifications.
Why should the survivor know, why was he downed within one hit? They're having tons of informations already - Given by the aura reading perks, as well as third party programs.

The Totems do share the same spots over and over, and I don't like it a bit.
Our opinions differ here, and I don't feel like arguing atm, so I'd say or guess, our conversation ends here.. Unless, you have something else on your mind I could possibly provide a reply towards to.

I´m all okay with different opinions.^^ I know many discussions get out of hand, when one cant convince the other from something, so I´m happy we had a clam discussion about this topic. :)
I think we both understood each others point and everyone reding this will, too. ^^ And I think I wrote down all I had to say about Noed.
We will see what the devs do with Noed, or if they let it be this way.

So yeah, that all from my side, too. I wish you and everyone reading this a nice day. ;)
