Dexter Morgan as survivor or serial killer?

I love the TV Serie: Dexter.

If you don't know who he is, briefly, he is a serial killer BUT that only kills people who fleeing from the justice, so, he kill ONLY other serial killers.

I don't think that Dexter as serial killer on DbD is a good things, judging from this.
But, as a survivor?

I know that the killers were chosen by films, I don't know if the survivors are as well.

But anyway, I wanted to know your opinions about this.

It would make more sense to make Deb a survivor since she survived the Ice Truck killer lmao but would love Dex as a killer

Dexter only killed "bad guys" though. Maybe you could split him and the dark passenger into 2 characters. Have Dexter as survivor and some manifestation of the Dark Passenger (in books it is a demon I think) as the killer.
