Trapper Rework Ideas
Base Kit
  • Decrease setting time of bear traps by 15%

  • Survivors cannot begin to "struggle free" until 3 seconds have passed

  • Gain a 5% speed boost for the duration of the survivor stuck in a bear trap

  • Survivors can only disarm traps when crouching

  • Survivors injured from a bear trap receive the "Hindered" effect until fully healed

  • Skillcheck on disarming a bear trap, failing results in being caught

  • Skillchecks on sabotaging a bear trap, failing results in being caught

Add-ons

Honing Stone (Very Rare)

Current Stats:
50% chance to inflict dying upon the trapped victim

Suggested Stats:
Tremendously increases the difficulty to escape bear traps
Tremendously increases time for each struggle attempt

Fastening Tools (Rare)

Current Stats:
Moderately increases the sabotage time of bear traps
Moderately increases the bear traps' disarm time
Slightly increases setting time of bear traps
Slightly decreases the bear traps' sabotage skillcheck success zone

Suggestion:
Remove the penalty of the slightly increased time of setting bear traps

New Add-on!

Body Bag (Ultra Rare)

Begin the trial with all 6 bear traps in inventory

Perks

Unnerving Presence

Current Stats:
Survivors within terror radius receive an additional 6%/8%/10% chance at triggering a skillcheck and have their success zones reduced by 40%/50%/60%

Suggestion:
Remove "Great" skillcheck zones when perk effect is applied

Brutal Strength

Current Stats:
Destroy pallets 10%/15%/20% faster

Suggestion:
Add a 5% buff to each tier. My reason for this is because the devs claimed they would nerf Brutal Strength from 20%/30%/40% because they were going to buff the base pallet speed by 15%. This however slows down Brutal Strength by 5% than what it was before.

I would add allowing to re-arm a trap on the ground, without putting down the trap in your hand>pick up trap>setting it> pick up the other trap. Also I would make the model and the hitbox a bit bigger and darker.

* I think something like that allready is in game. When they are caught in trap, they have

- Why not. I rly don't like live version of this add-on.

- I think this is may too much good. If ultra-rare then maybe, but not rly sure.

Perks

- I am looking forward for this idea. That would be rly good buff.

- I don't feel like this perk need buff.

I would like the UP buff for sure, that way it doesn't actually help survivors do things a bit faster due to getting great skill checks more often. Also agree with getting caught on a skill check fail and having a disarm skill check.
