Dead by Daylight

Twitch Intergration For Streamers / Twitch Prime Idea
As a streamer with Twitch in their name i accept all aggression or acceptance thrown towards me while i stream Dead By Daylight. I am aware of self promotion, it is a great marketing tool and one used extensively in the new Era of Online gaming.

I would like to propose an idea where Dead by Daylight follows the foot steps of others companies that already have an Integrated Twitch System. Where i would be able to connect my twitch account to dead by daylight.

Why would you want to do that you may ask! Well it would give everyone an opportunity to take Twitch out of their steam name if Dead By Daylight could have a little Twitch Symbol by your name if you are online streaming at that time.

I would also enjoy seeing Dead By Daylight follow the PUBG/Fortnite Flow in connecting Twitch Prime items to Dead By Daylight such as a Purple Nurse skin with Twitch Logo on the back! Simple enough and that would draw in so many new people just because there is incentive to come back.

Also connecting Twitch accounts may give people an option to maybe see who is currently streaming Dead By Daylight while playing the game also? I know it's possible i just am very absent minded about which game right now.

Point Form:

1. Twitch Prime Twitch Items / Integration
2. Twitch Symbol / Twitch Streaming Connection
3. Ability To See Streamers on Twitch in Game.

Hope you enjoyed reading my suggestion!

Honestly, dont you understand that you will most likely hurt yourself this way? Just because you force people seeing your twitch name, that doesnt mean that it will work as advertisement.
I will refuse to watch a streamer doing that btw and due to toxicity of twitch DBD streamers (its a fact, sorry about the fwe exceptions) you will also collect all the "bad behaviour" from killers, is it fun for your viewers to watch you being facecamped? :P

To your suggestion, twitch icon or twitch in your name? doesnt make a difference, so why bother
Regarding the prime stuff, sure its advertisement for DBD, but devs gotta come to an agreement with twitch (could be a thing though with the new skins coming soon, who knows)

Doesnt make sense to me why you would be able to see who is streaming DBD when you are playing DBD currently, if you really want to do that you can use your browser, but I think it just encourages stream sniping^^

I am sorry you feel that way, You also make it seems like Twitch streamers are all toxic which is not true. You really did not add to my suggestion nor did you read the first sentence which answers your question in the first place, you just attempted to shut it down because you believed it is a bad idea. The idea does not support sniping at all, it is just a nicer way to self advertise.

D.B.D - Could really use the extra push when it comes to Vanity items, also with Prime we could see a new influx of people. Please do not look at the smaller picture but the bigger one that is better for the community as a whole.

This thread is not about Toxic Killers or Survivors, please do not push it that way. I have no side when it comes to that argument because i only care about my community and the future of a game i play.

Have a wonderful day.

I would say it doesn't fix "the problem" with Twitch streamers. There are nice ones, yes, but most just bully the killer in my experience (as killer and survivor). As for a Twitch icon replacing Twitch in the name: The killer still knows you are a Twitch streamer... they will still target you or stream snipe you. Its a better suggestion then banning all twitch streamers but it doesn't take care of "the problem": people look at Twitch streamers and think "No thank you, I don't feel like being bullied today". That's a shame for the nice ones that get lobby dodged or targeted. Personally I will dodge you in a lobby most of the time. I've been bullied (which unfortunately is what gets people views) one too many times by Twitch streamers. That being said may I suggest trying to advertise in endgame chat. I know that can be hard since some killers leave early, but if you are like me and like to look at everyone's perks then you have some time.

This thread is not about Stream sniping
This thread is also not about toxic and non toxic streamers
This thread is also not about dodging/tunneling
This thread is also not about self advertisement (Not Advertising Myself, Just My Idea)

This thread is about a suggestion that the game could do to brighten its horizon by implementing Twitch Prime like Fortnite/Pubg, it is just a great chance to have an influx of people to create more lobbies and less wait times.

Please read my whole thread before commenting, i would love to have a conversation than repeat myself!

I left my suggestion at the end of my post. I'm sure an icon would look prettier and new outfits are always welcome whether they are free, DLC, or promotional. However I was pointing out that the icon wouldn't change anything and then stating my reasoning. I don't like to just post things without evidence or some reasoning. I just don't see the difference between an icon and the name Twitch. I will state my suggestion again. Perhaps typing something in end chat or maybe in the lobby. There are flaws to any plan/suggestions, but its better then completely banning people. I will admit that I'm playing this game because of a youtuber who made it look fun.

Also may I point out that although all the responses to this post have included talk of toxicity it is a good thing to talk about. The other post and mine left suggestions. They are not the majority of the post I will admit. The other guy for example: "To your suggestion, twitch icon or twitch in your name? doesnt make a difference" and "Doesnt make sense to me why you would be able to see who is streaming DBD when you are playing DBD currently". I suppose its a bit more aggressive then you like, but people are passionate about this topic. I will say that I am surprised there aren't more aggressive comments considering how most Twitch streamers are treated ( I've seen posts by Twitch streamers where all of the responses are "you suck, toxic player"). Whether deserved or not isn't my place to say.

Thank you for taking the time to detail your explanation properly! As a streamer i pride myself on being the least toxic person in Dead by Daylight. I currently play with one hand, and mouse only because of an injury.

As a survivor i don't use flashlights at all, and as a killer i always hook everyone twice with zero tunneling and no proximity camping when i play. It is just the nature of how i play the game as a person. I want everyone to have a good time even though i may de-pip because of it.

Also us as players should try to reduce the Stigma about streamers, Yes there is some bad apples in both the Twitch and Youtube world but don't make a generalization about everyone else without having any facts. Emotions are not facts, just because you don't like something or someone doesn't mean everyone else does.

That is all i really want to touch on that subject in this thread. We as a community of Dead By Daylight players need to remember that we are the moving force that helps this game stay constant and evolving, our support and suggestions are all important. Just need to be positive.

Its not even the bad behavior. Every time(this is not an exaggeration) I play as survivor against a killer with twitch in their name, the game has bee horrendously laggy. Green/LOW Yellow ping pregame, hellish once the game loads. That tells me that due to the current state of this P2P game, streaming is not a good thing. Dedicated servers, sure.

If you're anything like most gamers over the last 20 years, you'd know that lag creates more tension than camping as far as toxicity goes. Because in most cases you freeze on the spot. Spend 10-15 seconds on a gen and unable to get off of it. Etc. All while the killer is blazing around the map.

Idc about self promotion. do what you do. thanks for being non-toxic. But for me, streamers are a cancer because of lag. Then, I don't play high rank killer, to specifically avoid twitch stream SWF groups who purposely go in game to abuse game mechanics and humiliate the killer. This game has made survs not fear anything unless they play solo. Then you have to actually work on surviving.

To be honest with you i never had this problem, this seems more like a latency issue on your end or a graphics card issue. Streamers do not cause this, people with Twitch in their name also do not cause lag.

P2P? What do you mean by this? You are free to not buy an DLC'S and it will not hinder you in anyway. Dead By Daylight is also bringing in the ability to buy DLC'S Just by putting time into the game in the future without the use of money.

I do not work for D.B.D but i suggest you look more into your latency online, maybe someone has had the same issue?

Once again please note that this was a suggestion thread, please do not bring Grief or negative comments towards the generalization of streamers here. Let us try to look into the idea i posted and talk about that! Other than getting side tracked by personal emotions.

Have a wonderful Day!
