Dead by Daylight VS White Noise 2.. The surprising conclusion.

So like me you probably love the multiplayer survival horror genre. And so i played a lot of DBD, assuming this was as scary as it could get.. That this was as good as it gets.. Then i tried Friday the 13th, which i found to be a superior game atleast in regards to creating a an atmosphere that was very movie-like.. I'd seen white noise 2 many times, passing it up due to it's low price, and that i didn't quite like the look of the monster they used as the face of the game.. But growing bored of both DBD, and F13, I decided to give the game a try... And quite honestly, i think it is the best in the genre.

First things first.. It is in first person. This in itself is something i've always felt was more immersive, and scary, and my god was i right.. White noise 2 gave me scares DBD, and F13 never quite gave me.. There are moment of true horror.. Especially if you decide to play solo versus a player driven monster.

And to my surprise, upon getting in the game, it has a depth i never expected for the low price tag. It has lots of different characters, and monster, all with different stats and abilities and skins.

This game is a serious contender for DBD and F13; and for me, i prefer it to both.

Why am i bringing up this here? Because white noise 2 really deserves much more attention than it is currently getting. Due to what i can only put down to bad marketing, a game that is in my opinion superiror to both DBD, and F13, is horribly under appreciated.

Now i admit, i only got the game recently, so maybe white noise 2 was worse when it first came out.. But if you haven't tried it for a while, i recommend going back.

If you get the chance, and you want a multiplayer survival horror game that will really scare you, i highly recommend getting this game.

It was WAY worse and boring when released.
Now it's looking OK and is actually balanced to some degree.
Can be scary, unlike DBD where all that athmosphere disappears after few hours of play.
TBH i'm thinking about buying it myself.

I didn't like it that much. It was okay as the monster but as the investigator it wasn't that cool for me. But well, if you like it more you should Player it then!

WN2 is indeed spoopy, it runs A LOT smoother than dbd performance wise while looking a lot better too, however art style of characters may not be liked by some, as they are stylilized.

It is indeed better than dbd imho, however it suffers from lack of adverts to increase its playerbase,which is the only issue I have with it.

I strongly recommend anyone to try it.

As much as I enjoyed White Noise 2, there is no chance in hell this game is a contender to either game. White Noise 2 is barely hanging on in terms of player base. Which is the sole reason I don't play it.

It's a good game but it'd need a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ miracle to contend with either F13 or DbD (especially DbD)

This is the problem. It is deserving of much more.. I mean, it isn't dead, you'll still find games. It just deserves more players is all.

It is a great game that has less players due to simple marketing blunders.

Been playing WN2 for a while and enjoyed it more then DbD. Better scares, and actually balanced gameplay from both sides (bar some cheap tactics). Wish the first few investigators get a makeover, they look too damn ugly.

I meant it is a contender in terms of the game actually being good... Like, the gameplay. I the gameplay for me is much better in white noise 2 than in DBD and F13. The playerbase is lacking by comparison however.

I'm glad to see so many supporting that they find White Noise 2 to be the superior game. It is just a shame that people don't buy a game based on a low playerbase, when there are still enough players to actually play the game. A game isn't dead until you can literally find zero games. For the pricetag, and the fact there is a 2 hour refund policy you can exploit, what do you have to lose from trying it?

They should just do a free weekend, it is the best way to lure people in, big pop up window when steam starts plus 2-3 days of a full game demo, plenty of attention grab and ability to actually test it.
