What do killers do between trials?

Do they just sit around in their map and wait for the entity to throw more into the ring or do they go off to some staff room of the entity n sit around and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with each other while eating survivor pudding? Anyone know?

Probably go on a coffee break before the entity tells the next one is up, then the killer groans and reluctantly gets pulled into the void by the entity.

I like to imagine that my Demogorgon pretty much does what he does in the main menu screen. Hang around just outside the range of the campire watching the survivors but not allowed to go near, like a cat watching birds through a window. :D

What if the killers simply wander around the campfire until they wander into a trial? Imagine if the killers could always see the survivors but the survivors have no idea.

I think its a massive lobby of all the maps somehow connected until they are picked by the entity and sent to a random realm because with the rabbit suits that came out for saying that new outfits do show up making custom skins canon and what not but showing they aren't in stasus but some kind of hub.

I like to think of them being stuck in some kind of Limbo, only seeing snippets of memories while walking through dense fog. Imagine it, the Huntress going through all the trauma and suffering she went through before until the next trial begins. Characters always find themselves somewhere random after all.

Actually they probably get into new trials every few minutes. Sitting in one place like the survivor. They can try to wander off but all they find is high walls and some abandoned houses

I like the idea of the killers meeting room where they all come together, discuss new ideas, telling stories, just having fun, maybe show off a little about their good trials or sh*tting about trash talking survivors. Some may use the time to rest a little after a sweaty chase and just sleep some time.

Now that I think about I think that the entity probably puts them in some kind of holding space that makes them re-live and/or reminds them of the moment that drove them into their madness to keep them in a state of blood lust and rage in order for them to not grow tired of endlessly slaughtering people. Perhaps even maybe slightly altering bits of the memories and events using the fog that somehow include those that are about to be put into the trial in a way that they had something to do with wronging them or being the type of target they aim to victimize.

Example, with the abuse the hillbilly went through due to his parents if a trial about to begin involving him, the entity manipulates his mind into remembering that Meg was his cousin that always came and shouted insults through his feeding hole during christmas or Kate being a neighbor who would come over to talk with his mother and play music that he absolutely hated, and Jake purposely tampering with his food to make his one relief in life also miserable. All these little things being being altered resulting in him having that same hate he had for his family when seeing the survivors within the trial keeping him motivated, otherwise the steam will eventually get blown off right? People can only be angry for so long.

With killer's that are prideful like Trapper and Oni, the mind altering would be more along the lines of the survivor's in the trial showing some sort of disrespect towards their views and ways. Trapper being all about his father's approval the fog could alter his memory in ways that has David talking slander among the workers about his father while Adam mocks a rule that was put into place for the workers, even maybe slight whispers of theft, all things that would not be taken too kindly from the apple that fell right by the tree. Where as Oni, well just say you are a true samurai and call him an oni and he will want to bash your face in no matter who you are so all the fog has to do there is show the survivors demonstrating such blatant disrespect to him and his family name.

For more sadistic killers like the clown, who have a collection to endlessly collect, there is probably not much motivation that is needed. They are basically already in heaven.
