Is Benedict a killer?
A quote from the game about offerings

"I found something odd during today’s nightmare. A wreath made of animal bones. Nothing in nature creates something like this."
~ Benedict Baker's Journal

The wreaths are something for killers and only killers. Instead of wreaths the survivors get flowers. A simple overlook by the devs or is it something else?

i have a feeling Benedict currently is The Trapper... You know how devs say the game is all about survivors having their souls drained until they turn into the killer?

maybe that's what happened to Benedict. It's also pretty well seen in the lobby: how you can choose to play either survivor or killer; you notice how either the killer or survivor disappears whenever you switch menus? it's kinda symbolic of them transforming... although I might be looking too far into it.

It would also make sense that benedict would become the Trapper considering Benedict is such an important, non-seen character, yet the Trapper is the main poster boy of DBD.

Well the trapper is mentioned in Benedicts journal. We know that it's not him as Evan's story is told to us which Benedict could never know.

Can't be true as The Trappers name is Evan Macmillan and he lived during the active time of the Macmilan Estate until it was closed and Benedict came to the town of Weeks close to the Estate for the first time after it was closed to investigate the over 300 cases of missing people

well, it could be that the killers come in as originals like Evan or Anna, but after awhile the survivors trade places with the original killers, and therefore become the new killers. I just remember the devs saying there's some sort of cycle of survivors turning into killers.

But why should the survivors trade places with the killers? This would only mean that the entity has less servents that feed it.
But you are right if survivors are long enough in the entitys world they become killers
