What Happened To Benedict, Vigo and the OG Survivors?

Sorry if the answer is within the lore, but like..Where are they? Bendict and the others were the first to feel the Entity's torture, but like they are just gone? The Entity doesn't let them escape. So.. did they just get moried one too many times?

I believe this is why we only see 4 survivors in the menu screen; each campfire holds 4 survivors for 1 killer, and thus there are probably multiple trials occurring at once.
