Uhm...why is the Wraith a Killer?
As the title says I don't get from the lore of the Wraith, why he is a Killer.
Different from all others he never snapped and went on a killing spree. He only killed willingly one man and this only because he made him kill people without even knowing it. Now one might argue, that the Entity could have tortured him like the Trapper, but no part of his design even hints at that different from the Trapper

Not really willingly. The devs said on Stream that all the killers have been influenced by the Entitiy befre it took them.

But that still makes it pretty weak sauce compared to all other Killers. 1 man compared to over 100 by the Trapper and at least something in the 2 digit area for the other original Killers (not licensed).

The Entity cares about those who will probably do the job for him. Trapper never wanted to really. Indirectly confirmed by the devs too, because they said the killers with the most wounds are those who refused the most to do the deeds for Entity.

Wraith has bandages and Trapper open wounds.

I think it is somewhere in the lore that most of the killers are not origionally there willingly as previously stated. All it takes is the one snapping, the one frenzy of bloodshed, and the lack of control of onesself to become trapped by the entity. When the wraith lost control and beat his boss to death, the entity took control of him. From there on he is nothing more than a puppet of a higher power.

The killers with injuries were tourtured into obeying the Entity. The Trapper, The Wraith, The Nurse, The Doctor (possibly Hillbilly and Hag) were forced to work for The Entity.

The Killers without injuries kill for The Entity willingly. The Huntress, The Shape, The Cannibal, The Nightmare, The Pig. These killers didn’t need any persuasion to work for The Entity.

The ones who were tourtured are also evil and murderous in nature, they just don’t like following orders. The Wraith however, may have a different morality, but was tortured into obeying The Entity.

Actually the nurse willingly followed the entity, it's clear she was mentally tortured to the point of absolutely following the entity without needing more persuasion.

I don't know how right I am, but didn't the lore also state that almost every car he ever crushed had a living guy inside? Maybe that attracted The Entity in the first place, and when he killed Azarov, that was the final straw, and he was pulled inside?

I think it was when he killed Azarov then proceeded to brutally rip out his skull and spine. It was probably then the Entity realized how strong this dude is and decided he would do a good job.

Just look at him. He looks like the coworker who lost all hope to get a better job. Perhaps as he lost all hope, he became a killer, even when he didin't wanted to become one. It's getting hurt or hurt others

I understand him being a murderer and snapping, but why is he a tree wraith guy that uses a bell that turns him invisible? In his story it says that he killed his boss by stuffing him in a car, it never mentions how he became a tree dude and why he holds a bell that when he bing bongs it he goes woosh and now he's not there.

It was confirmed in a devs stream that the bell was given to the wraith by the Entity.

But why the bell? The other killers weapons and powers fit in with their backstory. The nurse has the last breath of the warden at the asylum she worked at. The Clown has the anathetic he used to knock people out so he could torture them later. This guy has the bell which doesn't fit in with his backstory at all. The spine and skull of his boss on a weapon fits. Maybe he could have had something related to him killing all those other people like the operating remote for the car crusher. If that didn't work out maybe he could have had the pocket knife that was referenced in his backstory. Also for a guy working as a mechanic in a wrecking yard his nature theme is really weird unless they were showing him denying his past life but that's a strech at best. They could have giving him a more mechanical look, or at least covered in rusted car parts.

He looks this way because he was originally intended to have a swamp as his map but the idea was scrapped and later used for the hag instead. That's why he seems to be covered in mud and doesn't fit with his maps design. I agree on the bell though and I'd like to know why they gave him that too.

I think he covered himself with mud out of shame, to hide himself and what he was becoming. I also assumed the weapon, bell and rune magic he uses was some sort of ancestral knowledge. Or maybe it was taught to him once within the mists.
