Controller Issues

I play with controller on PC cause it works better for me, but recently my running seems to "stutter" like I'll try to run but whenever I do it switches rapidly to running and walking. I have tried disconnecting the controller, and updating drivers, nothing seems to help. I haven't had this issue on any other game. Has anyone else had this issue? was it resolved? please help.

Same, I use Xbox controller and it tends to switch from running to walking every once in a while.

It doesn't matter what kind of controller you use, the game engine has a built in "aim assist" function for controller users that the devs refuse to acknowledge exists that depending on your ping and the target's ping can very often change your swing to miss... because apparently that is assisting you.... I almost exclusively use controller on PC as well and have had issues with this for years, and after talking to some people who are no longer employed by bhvr have learned of the root cause, and it is something they don't care to fix. BTW expect this topic to be locked and/or deleted with bans handed out to people for bringing it up, they do it all the time with bugs they don't want people knowing exsist.

well that just sucks because i play with controller to and have bought new controllers think it was that and it was not they NEED to fix it

I use a PC controller thats mapped as an Xbox, I've even changed the inputs so that I have to hold a different button to run but it still does it, I've never had this issue before.

That truly sucks, DBD is usually one of my go to games to play, but with this issue i'm finding it unplayable :(
