What's the current meta?

Before anybody says it: No, I'm not asking this to run full-meta perks for "EZ ESCAPES" or "EZ 4 KILLS WITH BROKEN META" I hate those types of players and promoting that type of gameplay is lowkey what made this game so unfun. (Ayrun viewers should be perma banned lmao)

I'm asking more so I understand what state the game is in. When I left it was just after Dead Hard was nerfed so a lot of Off the Record, Merciless Storm, Eruption ETC.

What's the current "meta" with survivors and killers?

Survivor Meta is Anti-Auraread, Anti-Tunnel, Endurance/Second Changes and obviously Exhaustion Perks. And yes Dead Hard is still OP because its a third hit in a Game balanced around two hits, its just not ridicoulessly, ez pz useable and spamable OP

Killer Meta is Gen Regression, Aura reading and the rest heavily depends on the Killer. Bamboozle and Lightborn are pretty common aswell. The "Gen Kick Meta" is dead in the Water but you can occasionally still find someone running Overcharge + Eruption

I blame BHVR because they dont buff bad Perks but instead just cripple any good Perks. A lot of Perks are just Filler or Flavour. They are trying to give some other Perks some Love so well see

For killer its corrupt, pop, pain res and ultimate weapon mostly sometime you will stbfl or a perk that help a particular killer but killer mostly run those perk.

For survivor its a bit more complicated. They have so many good perk its a hard to pick 4 but window and an exaustion perk are in every build after that in my experience adrenaline and OTR are the perk i see the most.

Three Hit is still a debate? Damn, I thought that would be solved by now.

I mainly main Killer so it's kind of sad to see most perk slots still have to go to Gen Regression, wish more variety was allowed without completely crippling yourself.

I did try a game with 0 Gen Reg and I got absolutely wiped so I figured it'd still be in the meta somewhere. I then tried some Gen Reg and got a 3K (I gave the last guy hatch) so... yeah sounds about right lol.

That's kind of sad to hear on the Killer side. I used to main Killer and absolutely hated the fact so many perks were worthless. So many perk slots have to go to gen regression (usually around 2) that it makes each match feel extremely repetitive.

I'm currently lower elo so I'm using more variety perks and not getting completely destroyed but it's going to suck climbing up and being locked into the repetitive cycle again.

Survivor having more perks is pretty... good... for them. I do also play survivor but my kit is nothing like that, if I get to a higher level I hope it's not like Killer where you're forced to the "S Tier" perks... I'm usually quite fond of Windows of Opportunity and Lucky Break which isn't exactly the best perks for this current meta it seems lol.

Tunnel the generators if you are survivor and hook one person three times in a row to kill them as killer.

Rush the game as fast as you can.

killer meta is hard slowdown.
Corrupt, Pop, Pain Res and NWO are basically S+ tier.

survivor meta is basically gens-chase-endurance oriented: OTR, Resilience, Deja Vu, Adrenaline.

As a survivor player myself i love the survivor meta right now i can play close to anything and i dont feel like im handicaping myself unless i use self care instead of a medkit. Im a huge fan of bond and window follow by 1 exaustion perk and vigil so when i suffer from blindness i get my aura faster.

The killer meta i will say got worse in the last 2 years like before killer had 3 or 4 build they could use yes all of them was around gen regression perk but at least it was different. Some killer even got some unique build like impossible skill check with doctor or franklin and hoarder with pinhead but the dev said no we dont want perk to work with the killer power so we remove the creativity part of perk building.
