The nurse is the most ridiculous killer in the game

Wait before you talk about spirit, or blight, just to make one thing clear, both spirit and blight are STILL affected by windows and pallets, spirit just has a good headphone so you can get a sense of the directional sound, blight you have a good reaction.

But the nurse is the most ridiculous thing in the game, then you ask me why????

Simple, the nurse can nerf anything, she will continue to ignore pallets and windows, you can even argue that you can counter the nurse during her blink, but what if it's a nurse who already knows how to control blinks and has a lot of game time?

I've only played against one single nurse in the last 30-60 days of playing. They were mid at best and the downs they got were from clear misreads from myself and my team. Is this something that rank 1 reds have to deal with regularly? I play both sides so i'm typically high gold or low red for both at reset time so I'm assuming that, if this is a legitimate issue, I'm just missing these killers in matchmaking.

Tu platinou Sekiro, continue praticando e vai conseguir ir bem contra a Nurse. Eu mesmo quase sempre escapo dela.

Ah yes, I forgot the ranks were just cosmetic now.... that does make it difficult. Hidden MMR suggests that you and I could have completely different experiences in this game, disagree with each other about almost everything in the game, from the attitudes of other players we match with, to the value and relevance of certain perks based off how the community we match with uses and reacts to them, and both be completely correct because our MMRs rarely if ever overlap.

Thank you for the reminder... oof.

Break LoS --> make a U-turn when you hear her blinking--> gain distance by holding W --> repeat.

Most people loose against nurse because they want to loop her like they do with other killers, but she plays a diffrent game. Once you realize that nurse wont be as bad anymore, sure there are some beasts out there but nurse is also super slow so use that to your advantage.

This only works on Low-MMR Nurses.

Many Nurses will anticipate that turn, so it's really about deciding whether to bluff or not. Unlike other killers, fighting a Nurse is mental rather than physical.

You cant just hold Shift+W against Nurse
Nancy Gooner Jan 14, 2024 @ 10:42am
And also the only killer who stand a chance against top level survivors.

Forcing people to hide and think ahead instead of relying on loops for safety can really rustle some Jimmies around here.
On the other hand, a bad nurse, or someone that doesn't practice with her is one of the most harmless killers in the game because they can almost never land the blink and can't catch you with W.

The top tier killers basically exist as a bandaid for the bad balance imo. How can you say anything survivor sided needs a nerf when Nurse exists? It's just one of the many examples of this game's unhealthy approach towards balance. A huge chunk of the killer roster is terrible, but they have time to make sure Sadako is back in the D tier with yet another rework before they'll do anything aside meaningless add-on tweaks to the top tiers.

The nurse's supposed unbalance does not mean that survivors are perfectly balanced. Statements like that do not help your argument and make me wonder if you're exaggerating with your other statements as well.

yup, that is all very true. And its why in released data, she is not top killer on average. Those trying to learn Nurse, are often 0k games, and that puts them off. Nurse is a high effort to learn, but massive reward killer if you do. So much so, its hard to keep playing her as a main. it just get a bit silly and boring in most games.
I picked up nurse for a single month, First couple of days I was an utter embarrassment. I was laughed at and memed on with every failed blink. SWFs probably used me for their montages and clips. I would often blink to a wrong room or even floor and completely lose an easy chase. It was horrid to experience but I stuck with it.
By day 30 I was disgusted with myself. I was handing out 4ks like free samples at Walmart. Games would often be over before a single Gen was done and the amount of DC's spiked dramatically. It got to the point I almost felt abusive to those unfortunate enough to get Q'd up with me and I eventually went back to more meme killers.
But that's nurse in a nutshell. Baby Nurses get picked on and bullied into a fetal position while the survs turn the match into a point farm, and experienced Nurses turn the match into a blood bath and will make a whole SWF squad question why they even loaded up the game.
You get what you earn with Nurse, plain and simple.

Well hey, you do you. I'm not really trying to impress you here? I didn't even say anything like that, you're misunderstanding what I said entirely. That's an example of how Nurse is being used as a bandaid, not a statement saying survivors are balanced.

I don't think there is anyone who has played Nurse for a decent amount of time that thinks Nurse isn't a little busted.

Blight is only an issue with specific add-ons and Spirit at least can be heard coming from a specific direction, after all.
