:)
I am currently working on getting every single killer and survivor i own to prestige 1, so I can get all their perks on my mains. That's how i do it. :)
But yes, a lot of people seem to try and get everyone to P3, so they have all perks readily available, especially on new characters they buy later on :D
Sorry to burst your bubble but that is a waste of time and bloodpoints... you don't want every perk unlocked because when you start a new character it makes your bloodweb more randomized.... and forces you into a higher percentage chance of getting a crappy perk you never wanted to begin with, in every single bloodweb as you level up.
You should come up with a build and then go for those specific perks. Survivor only has about 20 decent perks out of the entire list anyway and I might be being generous.
They changed it a few years ago you used to have to get a character to Prestige 3 to unlock all 3 perks. Now once you get a character to Prestige 1 it unlocks all 3 perks at Tier 1.
Prestige 2 = Tier 2. Prestige 3 = Tier 3.
If you have Tier 1 perks unlocked, all characters can get, and can level up the perk to Tier 3. Nothing else has to be done on the original character that you unlocked the perks on.
Personally if you don't like the character that much it's more efficent to just unlock the Tier 1 version of it, and level it up on the actual characters you want to play. Instead of spending the bloodpoints on getting a character you don't even really like to Prestige 3.
I don't think it's a waste of time or bloodpoints, especially when reset allows me to prestige two characters straight up every single time.
Also, I like to try new things regularly, and play things that aren't currently "meta" to see how it goes.
Plus, once you have everyone at P3, no perks show up in the bloodweb anymore at all. So there's just items and addons.
Waste of time. So is getting every character to Prestige 3, especially Survivor.
You are spending millions and millions of bloodpoints unecessarily and making it take longer to make each specific character that you actually "want" to play, "stronger".
As a Survivor you are also a liability to other people on your team because you'll be a career long-term Prestige 0 player by switching characters over and over again. With no build of Tier 3 perks on any character, and no pool of items on any character. As it takes time to build it up since deaths will happen and you will lose medkits, etc.
This isn't Zelda... perks aren't "collectibles", they're like skills in an action adventure game or action RPG.
So what do you recommend? Prestige 1 on a bunch of characters, or Prestige 3 on a few characters?
I play my main, and then level the other characters in the background with the points I make on my main. I do not queue with a P0 character. I queue with my high prestige character.
I am not sure what exactly you want from me here.
You're not convincing me that what i've been doing since the game released is wrong. Especially when it's worked seamlessly and nicely for me.
I have tons of each item, addon and offering on my main, while slowly building up the other chars... What exactly am I doing wrong in your opinion? Not getting the 52nd flashlight on my main? Not getting the 16th RPD-badge?
Ya if you have a main that's leveled up that's different I thought you meant you just play a Prestige 0 Survivor to Prestige 1... then go on to a new Survivor and use that as your new main.
Your main should always have every perk (that you own, and/or want) at Tier 3 unlocked no matter what as to simplify the network bloodweb and increase the chance of getting good items and offerings for as little BP as possible. I'm sure you know that though.
Personally I only Prestige 1 characters I'm probably never going to play. Your main(s) that already have everything unlocked will get the new perks to Tier 3 super fast anyway and you'll be back to an item only bloodweb after only a few matches.
I get what you mean, yes, but that's not the case. I can understand your stance now though.
I levelled my main first, then i go unlock a new character's perks - then go back and unlock those perks on my main.
Then repeat.
But now that I have nearly everyone on P1, and my main has everything they could ever want and use (At least for a while), i try and get everyone to P3. Simply because once you reach a higher prestige, you absolutely swim in everything and might as well level the others x'D
I do have to say, though, I prefer this 'new' system over the old one. Having to get everyone to prestige 3 to get all of their perks on other characters' bloodwebs (Not even unlocked) was a paiiiiin.
Oh ya the new system is way better I hated having to prestige 3 a character just for one perk. I used to just wait until it was on the Shrine, but those days are gone that was a lot easier when there was far less perks lol.
I hoard my BP for when I buy a new Killers then I spend a ton of BP so ya I just don't spend much on Survivor prestiging, My Feng Min is pretty much done until there's some amazing new Survivor perk.
I bought a lot of dlc on last sale (More than i'd like to admit hahaha) and just spent all my ranked rewards on those.
To keep it on topic with OP:
I think we'd agree now that having one character levelled and ready to play is your best bet, and then slowly unlock the others on P1 to get more perks. :)
You can get them to P3 if you have nothing else you want to spend points on, but P1 is enough.
