What's the point of Oni now with the new Billy rework?
Now that Billy dosen't have any overheat and can glide on things too what's the point of oni? not to mention the new blight add-ons but i guess there's no way they're leaving the public test build. What's stopping billy from being objectviley better than him?

What's the point of any killer other than Nurse and Blight? It's there so some people will use it.

that's not what this is about, those killers do very different things. Now billy is just oni but he dosen't have to collect blood before using his power. And nurse is a special case, since the devs can't nerf her so dbd technically isn't pay to win.

You could argue that most killers are just different versions of others, like Chucky is just Demogorgon with a poor attempt at Ghostface's stealth instead of portals, Trickster is just a slowburn Huntress, etc, although I do see your point that he's gone from a better Billy to a worse Billy now.

I guess Oni still has the ability to pull off 180 turns any time during the charge instead of just at the beginning of it going for him.

Oni is far more versatile than Billy, has much more snowballing + map pressure potential and hitting objects doesn't stop his Demon Dash.
If his power wasn't limited duration wise, he could've been S-tier, but taking in mind that you will get your power fast and easily in average match, you are good to go.
Not to mention that reaching his skill ceiling with perfect utilization of 180 flicks in order to trick survivors trying to do locker tech against you, wall techs inside shack and especially in tight loops can literally help you tremendously.

No. Billy can snowball just like oni. And he has better map pressure with apex muffler. and the new filthy slippers.

The new billy collision is way too forgiving so if you don't run HEAD FIRST into something i.e have a little bit of aim it's practically oni.

yes, all he needs is to be able to collect orbs while enraged and that's it.

so what? i'm good to go with almost any killer. but why would i play oni if billy can do the same thing he does but faster and more often? it's just not fun playing an underpowered killer.

new FOV slider and add-ons make it a lot easier.

not really, in terms of turn rate, he is very addon dependant, Oni isn't.
180s wise, easiest way to do them is Lopro addon, which is truly straightforward and doesn't truly need a player input

lo-pro chains just make you break trough pallets. it is easier now with FOV slider and it already was easy before the slider. and yes spiked boots make it even easier. And anyone can stock pile add-ons. 180 are really clunky with oni and you can't see the survivor easy like you can with billy so you have to really on instinct. even then, 180s are easy with both.

Apex Muffler literally just silences your chainsaw, during Overdrive you might just be able to possible do some crossmap snipes, but other than that nothing really more, he isn't that much more powerful than old Billy in those terms.

but still, hitting an objects takes away way too much time with the stagger, while Oni has no problems with hitting objects, plus can use those to hide red stain mindgames wise.

you are collecting orbs while out of Blood Fury. But as long as you keep proper map pressure, you will have constant income of them.

the point is: Billy doesn't. Plus is much more telegraphed killer than Oni, meaning far easier to predict.

for Oni, you don't need addons for 180s at all, plus i was always a Shadowborn enjoyer myself. For Billy, in order to be better at loops, you need to use addons for it. If you want better cross-map traverse, you need to sacrifice capability of handling loops well.

Glad to see the billy complaint threads are already popping up.

i'm not really having a clunky time with Oni 180s, they never have been too clunky at all, all you need to know is to utilize them excellent.

Apex muffler makes the chainsaw silent for anyone outside your terror radius, so just run any good stealth perk or the aforementioned slippers and you have free downs + plus map pressure because everyone is scared to be on gens.

like i said, it dosen't much brain-power at all to just... not hit something. and oni has a stager too. not as long as billy's but punishing too.

we both know this. and i'm trying to make you realize is that billy dosen't need to do that to use his chainsaw.

not at all. speacily with add-ons. oni dragon-shouts when activating his power and while he's running to you, you can hear his loud breathing. not mention the big red aura he has that's pretty visible. oni is properly telegraphed. with his new add-ons, billy isin't.

correct, you don't. but you don't have that option. Billy's new add-ons give him that option.

oh you always wasted a perk slot for a feature that should have been implemented long ago? good. now i know i don't need to respond to your comments anymore.

no you do not, can just be skilled. But billy has the option to make it easier and oni does not.

take this clip for example. you can't see the survivor properly, you have to rely on your instinct. and he dosen't have any add-ons to make easier. with billy, you can just... turn your camera. and you have add-ons.
