While this may be true, the matches really are horrible right after reset.
Coincidence?
That is because you are playing with whoever queued up in your region. MMR is only a factor when 30k players are on.
Yeah because usually these things are just observation bias.
Maybe another perspective to answer the question, why some (or even a lot) of players experience different shifts towards the gameplay styles?
Well, it could be one thing, that after Grade-Reset, players from a certain group (probably the better DbD players) want to get to Iri-1 again as fast as possible.
Which on the other hand could lead to another question, why for some players the games are getting harder towards the end of the cycle. Probably the players, who want to get to Iri-1 in the last week possible.
Remember: We are right before the next DLC release and ppl want to get as much BPS as possible to unlock the new perks.
One stat, which would be interesting to know, is how many and at which time the players reach the highest grade (in different MMR-Segments).
I know, it's frustrating (we've all been there). But chill for a moment. I was reading the whole thread and you also stated the following:
That's why I started my answer like I did. The more focus of my answer should be on the area "ppl want to get to IRI-1 asap", which you basically ignored. But it's fine, don't worry. I just suggested a possibility, so your personal game experience can be explained. But I have no clear data on this. So that's why I suggested it would be really cool to know some stats about the grades in general.
