Killer mains, what's your opinion on the Unknown?
Is he strong? Or weak?
Survivors can counter your ability by simply LOOKING at you mid chase, and you only have a few seconds (3 seconds or more) to aim and fire a second shot! Missed a projectile or took too long to aim - Start all over again.
Maybe i'm just doing something wrong, if you have any tips, i'm all ears OMG DBD PERK MENTIONED

Fun to play as with a cool creepy/scary design.

The only thing this killer is decent at is tunneling. Using your power beyond close range is so easily dodgeable/reactable you may as well just play someone else.

It takes APPROXIMATELY 2 hits for one health state, wit a CHANCE of it only taking 3. If you miss one hit with the power, your punishment is to now have to hit the survivor twice AGAIN for another health state; this can take an extremely long time just to get one down.

Good survivor pathing can result in this killer not being able to use their power at all for the duration of a chase, making it extremely likely that said chase will go on for 2-3 minutes (possibly) all because you never got an opportunity to use your power.

Now for the ok part: the power is decent at close range, usually resulting in dealing damage to survivors. If you tunnel with this killer and take advantage of their one strength (tunneling), you will likely get a 2-3 kills by the end of the match, but it just won’t be an enjoyable experience. The killer is braindead easy to play, but has little skill expression resulting in boring matches that are more frustrating than fun to play.

This killer literally punishes you for getting direct hits (AKA being LITERALLY TOO ACCURATE). They need to make direct hits cause the UVX blast effect.
no his power is actually pretty good you can hit survivors airborne and still get the weaken state aim lower at their butt dead center while behind a survivor if you aim it high and it hits the side of them then it drops off to the side giving a survivor a chance to move his power isn't bad it can be really hard to use and its not very forgiving
As stated, stuff like this only works at close to mid-close range. It is entirely reactable beyond that point. I know all of the tips you are trying to give me. He is just not fun and literally a direct downgrade to a killer like Huntress in almost every way. There is literally never a situation I would want to play this killer over Huntress.

Another overpowered killer, fast teleport on the map, range attack spamming. We'll have to wait until he gets nerfed. First they will make money from fools. Whoever comes up with this does not play this game themselves. And if he plays, it’s as a complete casual without understanding the game mechanics. They themselves contradict the idea of the game. Why can't survivors teleport across the map and stun the killer from a distance? :cleanseal:
Not to bepicky but he can't spam his attack... no ranged killer for that matter even huntress has to reload.

Once a surv is weakened, the Unknown only gets 2 tries to do damage or else they have to be weakened again.

I can't share the critique about teleporting either. The hallucinations are dispelled easily and there is less risk involved like with the teleport traps from hag. They are also less useful if you loop him in one section of the map. Dredge by comparison can pretty much teleport anywhere on theentire map.

Isn't that last part the description of a flashlight save?
I like the Unknown a lot. I don't think I'd say it's strong so much as it's comfortable to play. Outside of some annoying surprise bounces with the globs, the power doesn't ever make you feel like you've got chores you're neglecting which is always a plus.
Good at close range and extremely weak at long ranges without very specific situations like having LOS blockers he can shoot over.
Direct hits are absolutely useless and should just make UVX explode (this is the biggest problem imo)
Teleport is really strong which leads to the only way he will generally win, Tunneling.
His power is strong if it's applied to multiple survivors and does have game ending potential, but his 1v1 chase is far too punishing to the point where against a good survivor or even a bad survivor on the right tileset the game can rapidly swing the game out of his favor.
Overall I think he has a lot of """"potential"""" but is so punishing and strict that reaching it consistently will be near impossible even for the best players.
This killer is gonna be another singularity where on release people argue for an S or high A placement, but due to survivors getting better and the killers strictness in terms of needing to play perfectly he will fall down the tiers until nobody plays him.

I think also he takes a deal of skill and killers always feel strong on release - even before the nerfs hit survivors learn to counter them in a few weeks. It's like how Xeno was strong on release but now he's much weaker and it's because survivors learnt how to play around him.
The Unknown is the one of the best killers BHVR has made in a very long time
Who else agrees with this?
dredge is better
gonna eat some chocolate chocolate chip
It depend i would say alien is more fun and wesker is way more fun but fun is a matter of opinion and everyone have their version of fun.
Feels like something inspired by the rise of Analog Horror

The power is incredibly boring and doesn't really fit the character BUT , art direction wise it's an amazing design.
As for "strong" or "weak", it is probably A / B tier, not too weak not too strong.
He's completly useless on the new map tho, too much ♥♥♥♥ in the way that doesn't bounce his projectile properly makes it really annoying to play.
