weird pricing
A friend of mine just wanted to buy some killers as he has gained enough shards for at least 2.

But appearantly there are diffrent prices? Some killers like skull merchant are 4500 shards while singularity for example is 9000? Same for auric cells, SM = 250 or something and singularity the basic 500 like the licensed killers are also.

I think the more recent killers are slightly more expensive

interesting marketing choice. Like it matters lol. They should streamline the prices for non licensed killers to 4k shards

4500 price is discounted one during anniversary or special sales. 9000 is the normal price

Oh they are discounted. So that makes alot of more sense, thank you.

The difference is because there are no packs yet for the latest original DLC's for Singularity and Gabriel Soma as well as for the unknown and Sable Ward, which is why you can still buy them individually on steam. All older original characters already have packs and you can no longer buy them individually on steam.

Oh i thought singularity was included in endless hunt. But yeah i guess they will make another pack for these 2 and the next 2 original killers.

BTW how is this going to work if my friend unlocks a certain killer like trickster with shards, but then later on buys the macabre tales pack to get the other characters aswell? Does he still pay for "full" price for the pack? Should be right? steam has no way of knowing which characters are alredy unlocked with ingame currency.

They not discounted, that's their permanent price! Which means on sale next month they got half-priced!

They bundle 4 DLC at least to 1 pack, but it's rando mbecasue they got half-chapter like Mikeala. Only the last 2 original chapter not in a bundle. You won't get a dLC cheaper on Steam shop, no matter how many characters you own from the pack, but you get exclusive cosmetics.
Since dLC is on Steam and in-game store buyings are two different thing. Which means you cans till buy on Steam a DLC bundle even if yo uown every single character from it! But you get the DLC exclusive items.

So its exactly like i thought  Its fine though, the bundles aint that expensive. And im going to just suggest to my friend to buy a full bundle instead of a single character.

Generally, I'd buy using DLC whenever DLC is the available option. DLC has DLC-exclusive cosmetics.

And older DLCs are generally discounted. A normal commercial practice.
