RIP Iron Will, Dead Hard and Spine Chill
I fully get that they need killers to win more, because if no one wants to play killer, matchmaking is dead (like it usually is at night). I also understand that they wanted to change the meta so people experiment more with new perks. But as a player running Dead Hard, Iron Will, Bond and Spine Chill, I would have to reinvent my strategy from scratch, and honestly, I'm just too lazy and not invested in this game enough any more to do that.

There's no denying though, this one is a very efficient balancing patch that balances my Steam play hours in favor of other games. I had my ups and downs with DBD, but overall, I was lucky enough to enjoy some memorable, heated matches and to meet some great players I could learn from. I'll always remember you guys, and remember this game. It's time for me to say goodbye now and move on to see what other gems the asymmetrical genre has to offer. Maybe I'll see you soon in another game!

What is spine chill’s selling point though? I barely see people use that perk

I used it mainly in a chase to see if the killer is no longer facing me. It's also useful to get early intel on the killer moving in to your generator when in a closed area.

I just makes any stealth killer much much weaker.

you can immediately determine if its a stealth killer/that the killer has tinkerer. Also you can use it to get away from the killer as well as you always know if the killer is looking at you. It gives you a lot of information which for stealth killers is kinda the end of the killers specialty which is surprise. In all fairness though Ive heard apparently a lot of people who are hard of hearing use it but i wouldn't really know because ive yet to meet someone hard of hearing while playing dead by daylight but i imagine it would be helpful actually knowing the killer is there if you cant hear them.

Besides countering stealth It combo'd nicely with Resilience to create the "vault build".

to be fair the vault build also counters killers with mcdonalds internet and prevents you from getting dedicated

If a couple perks were carrying you that hard, that says a lot. I've seen quite a few survivors and killers both perform really well perkless and addon/item-less

True. Back when ranks mattered, I really felt like it was these perks that occasionally carried me to the red ranks, and whenever I tried a completely different strategy, I felt like I was doing really poorly, so I only made small adjustments to my own "meta" way of playing. Now, when ranks don't matter anymore, I have no idea how I compare to others skill-wise, but I'm no big deal, that's for sure. That's the main reason I'm giving up DBD.

Well, time to git gud with other tools!. DH need any explanation of why the nerf?. Iron Will? Well in my opinion it was always an Top tier perk cause it didnt change since the begining if im not wrong, and hearing things is important. Heck, the perk basically makes Spirit 10 times harder by doing nothing. Spine chill? I dont get why the people cant use Premonition that alert you about the killer too. OH WAIT it cause it buff you with no aparent reason in everything and makes stealth killer a joke.

So remove Spine Chill entirely. Because as it stands, the change makes it completely pointless and unusable. Same as Iron Will.

Rest in piss, dead hard. You won't be missed.

Spine Chill's counter was completely stupid. If you wanted to negate it as a killer, you had to approach the generator without looking directly at it.

Imagine if the killer's running a perk where you have to not look at his direction from X meters otherwise he gets a notification. How bad would survivor mains rant about a perk like that?

And there would be no real way to know if they had spine chill until after the game. You could only assume.
