1 V 1 - How Does It Work?
Someone recently - last night - asked me for a 1 v 1. I asked "how does that work?" and they responded by attempting to insult me.

I'am curious though, how does a 1 v 1 work?

EDIT: I understand it's done via a custom match but is it just a standard match but 1 v 1 or is it that the survivor is to survive X amount of time?

I remember watching an Otzdarva video on this. If you were to do this legitimately, you would go into a desired map for chasing. A good example is fractured cowshed. You start at shack, the survivor starts at the pallet, the killer starts at the door. The killer swings their weapon to signify the start and the survivor will see how long they can survive. You can somewhat gauge who wins by how well they play and how long they survive. You can either swap roles and see who gets the best time, or just do one round and see if the survivor doesn't go down to quick.

Not sure if this is a serious question or just a way to mock people with the "1v1 me bro" mentality (though I assume most of them are just doing it as a meme).

My only assumption is, if they're serious about a 1v1, they stack aura hiding/audio dampening perks or something. Can't imagine a game would last long once the survivor is found though.

I literally have no idea how my post could be viewed as mocking. Each to their own though.

So back to the op, do you know how a 1 v 1 match is supposed to work?

Exactly my thoughts. Doesn't sound fun to me at all.

lol that would've been a fun response. I can remember asking "why would I want to?" when he brought it up again. The guy seemed really stressed.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

There are certainly possibilities to create a 1v1. For example if survivor get 2 gens done he won. But that is something you can do against a friend for fun not against some internet rage kid he wouldn't comply to the set rules anyway so that's useless.

Totally agree. It also seems strange to me, add an angry stranger online as a friend to play a match with. That doesn't sit well with me.

That makes sense how you describe it. Thanks for satisfying my curiosity.

1v1 is meaningless and proves nothing. It is a game design to have 1 killer and 4 survivors. Whoever says 1v1 me bro is an idiot and looks dumb trying to prove something
