What can M1 Killers do against Most pallets?
Talking mostly about Sadako, Trapper, Shape, Pig, Legion, Oni At the start and Ghostface.

It's easy to see why Blight, Nurse and Spirit are top picks in the current meta, Mostly because they can traverse the map quickly and deal with most pallets spots or prevent survivors from reaching the next one in time

What do M1 Killers have? None, They are Forced to do boring Loops with no way to counterplay this except just circling and eventually forcing a pallet drop, Which leads to the next nearby pallet and repeating the cycle.

This issue is mainly the horrible map design, Aesthetic first, Balance second.

There are many loops that are extremely unfavorably to killers or to survivors, And there is almost never that is balanced toward both, It's either these Very short loops with useless pallets (Looking at you ormond) Or pallets absurdly long loops with Janky Objects collision

Bloodlust is an outdated mechanic that have no place in this game, Since it punishes survivors who make correct reads, And is also completely useless since all of it's stacks are gone if you destroy a pallet, And proceed to waste alot of time if you attempt to circle the survivor around a loop with a pallet.

The Devs made solutions to this problem Such as increasing gen time, Slightly increasing pallet break speed and attack recovery and more, But these Solution do nothing to resolve the main issue which are the maps, And only creates more problems in the future.

I mean trapper could trap certain loops and Sadako kind of get a speed boost if you time it between manifesting. Legion? Now with his power could technically past out pallets too and if everyone is close you could use it and down the guy on the pallet, but only if. The others? GF could mindgame without the red stain and thas it.

There are perks that help with that, and in some cases addons.

Legion for example has Iridescent Pin that allows them to break any pallet they vault on the spot, combined with Julie's Mixtape and Enduring you can basically destroy pallets like crazy.

Trapper can block the pallets with his traps, leaving them useless (the whole point of the character)

Ghostface is mainly a stealth killer, so trying to sneak up on survivors is the way to go, also, his crouching can be used mid chase to hide him in the middle of loops, which can make hard to know where youre going for the survivor, even his power that hides his red stain.

Oni does suffer at the beginning but once you get your power going, loops are a lot easier, specially pallets.

With Pig its largely her ambush, it can be used on loops, which if the survivors screws up, can give you a hit, or force them out of it, this is specially true for the smaller loops.

Sadako not much sadly, gotta rely on perks.

Shape is kinda the same, but his advantage is that he can sneak up on survivors due to his small TR and hes a literally bomb that can instantly down people, most survivors will do their damn best to lose LOS as much as possible, which often results in losing distance.

Some perks that help with loops are:

Bamboozle, blocks any window you vault.

Hex: Blood Favor, blocks all pallets nearby when you injure a survivor by any means.

Brutal Strength: Destroys pallets quickly (Also good for Gen kicking builds)

Enduring/Spirit Fury: A simple combo, get stunned, pallet breaks, get an easy hit.

Dissolution: Break any pallet the survivors vaults when inside your TR after injuring a survivor.

Save the Best for Last: this is the bread and butter of M1 killers, it allows to quickly get back on the chase after a hit and overall a time saver.

Fearmonger: A surprisingly strong perk, it blocks the survivors Aura Reading abilities and gives them Exhaustion when working on a gen, this basically makes it really hard for them to use Exhaustion perks unless they let got really early.

I don't have any issue with pallets playing as any of the killers you named. If you have issues with pallets as an "m1" killer then bring brutal strength and endurance. Take them to the face, break them and then they are a non issue for the rest of the match.

Trapper has to pre plan ahead when the survivor reaches that loop, And even then they can disarm if if they so happen to come by it.

Sadako Does NOT receive a speed boost after manifesting, Only a speed boost which lasts for 1.5 seconds and is 6.9m\s, So it doesn't actually help in loops.

Legion Only gets the first hit on healthy survivors for free, But afterward has to finish them off as an M1 killer if survivors are not grouped close enough for him to do the fifth hit instadown.

Ghostface? Pfff, Try Mindgame against survivors who are not marked or on pallets with no Line of sight blocking.

Thats the whole point of Trapper, planning ahead, make an area your minefield, and protect it.

Ah yes, Let me play the Babysitting game of hoping my traps actually do something.

That explains why Most top players place him at the bottom D tier.

Headbutt them and smash them as soon as possible. Job done. What does it cost you in the long run?

It would be kind of cool if there was a perk that allowed killers to break pallets with no stalling, just smash right through them as they keep walking. It's sort of hard to really believe that a(n admittedly fictional) killer like Nemesis or Dredge would be foiled by a twenty pound chunk of wood.

Such a perk would have to be offest by something major though. A cooldown or something. Maybe make it available only during bloodlust, I don't know. But yeah, playing as killer there are definitely times when it's like "okay, just throw the damn thing down and run on to the next one, I guess this will be over sooner or later".

It's similar gameplay as hag, but trapper isn't nearly as fluid with his traps as hag is with hers. Finding traps, disarming them and rearming them takes time and time is the most valuable resource a killer has in this game and setting up traps especially ones that never come in play is a waste of time.

If you ask me the area defense type of gameplay that both hag and trapper are designed for is the most miserable boring way to play the game.

Nurse is the worst killer in the game. We all know this tbh.
