Rank reset is awful
Whenever I am on iri1 as killer I have the easiest match with survivors who have never seen a pallet or don't know how flashlights work. After I am ash 4 again the pain begins... Can't get a single kill. Gens are flying, everyone is a pro expert at how to save and sbo. It's actually frustrating. Killers and perks that always bring me the win are useless at ranm reset.

Ranks don't mean anything anymore. They used to be it's own form of mmr way back in the day but it got replaced.

I liked ranks a lot more than the sweatfest that is mmr. Worst idea bhvr had by a long shot.
Yea, you proly hit soft mmr cap on a killer- you get ppl in between 400 - 10k hours and sweaty swfs. Don't worry if you don't 4k every match - there is almost no way of doing it with exception to the strongest killers. Also game is quite surv sided - you can just look up some of the comp games where getting couple hook stages on certain maps is expected result (even with limitations on survs).

People who say the game is survivor sided are new and clearly havent played back in 2017 era when you could DS whenever you get picked/DH had a dash on top of endurance/Balanced landing had no cooldown because exhaustion wasnt a thing yet and even tho you could face camp a surv in the basement it was still incredibly hard to do well against survs. I could go on. Killrate at nearly 70% 4k also says that most games killers get 4k's and you kno as well as the next 3k games alot of times survs are given hatch or find it or door. The fact that maps get progressively smaller too and gens get closer along with hooks too shorter anims for killers across the board also support this but hey what do i kno :BL3Facepalm:

I gotta lay down myself. I read this post and it´s 3 replies and didn´t managed to get half of what was said.

What i managed to get is that the 4 of you don´t like the rank reset. What do you propose, then? A "classic" rank system that decays with time?

Guys the rank literally does nothing except give you BPs at reset.
It's not even RANK reset anymore, but GRADE reset. It's just a BP bonus every 13th, nothing more.

Also, killers do not share the same MMR pool in the way survivors do. Depending on how often or how little you play certain killers, you will find that your matches can vary greatly.

Can you explain that a little futher? I find that statement quite interesting, specially since i have killers wich i don´t touch since 2023. No pun intented, i do want more info on that, if you don´t mind explaining it.

Think BHVR implemented MMR decay - if you don't play killer for some time your MMR gets reduced. Also if I understand correctly each killer have separate MMR number for your account.

One correction: killers have different MMR but they are linked together by your highest MMR killer. So if you have one killer at high MMR, then all killers you play will be at a higher MMR than they ordinarily would have based on your winrate for those individual killers, to compensate for experienced players who are trying a new killer so that they don't go against brand new survivors.

I play new killers or those who I haven't played a while and still get 100p swfs

You mean by that: different MMR for each killer, but there is some MMR added to all of your killers from your highest MMR killer? Do you have a source of this info somewhere?

Grades dont mean anything. Your MMR does. Grades resetting has no bearing on MMR.

I have also seen one of the devs say the same thing during a livestream but unfortunately, I can't remember which one. Maybe someone else here can remember.
