Please close ACE-BASE?
Anyone had this?

Just picked the game up on PC and can't launch due to this error BUT, I can't find any instance of ACE running - checked Task Manager, downloads, etc and cannot find it but the game still won't start.

This is all I found But that last bit looks promising?

"ACE-BASE" on a PC typically refers to a background process related to an anti-cheat system, most commonly associated with "Anti-Cheat Expert (ACE)" which is used by certain games like Fortnite to detect and prevent cheating behavior; essentially, it's the underlying software that runs in the background to monitor gameplay for potential cheating activities.
Key points about ACE-BASE:
Function:
Its primary role is to scan a player's system for signs of cheating programs or modifications while they are playing a game.
Visibility:
You usually won't see a visible "ACE-BASE" window, as it operates in the background.
Error messages:
If you encounter an error message mentioning "ACE-BASE" when launching a game, it often means the anti-cheat software is having issues and might require troubleshooting or updating.

Probably running as a service I guess?

Right click on Start and choose "Computer Management" then open the tab "Services And Applications" on right hand side and double click "Services" look for it there and stop it.

Thanks, I found it under "Services And Applications" - BUT, stopping it still doesn't seem to fix the issue with the same error being presented. Not sure what to try next.
Did you find a solution? I have this same issue while trying to play back for blood. I disabled the services and still encountered the error.

Turned out to be Delta Force - I had that game installed and it's anti cheat interferes with other games. Someone was posting a review on Delta Force steam page about it and once un-installing, it worked.
A bit of a necro. But ran into this issue today. Spent about 45 minutes trying to solve it using other fixes from other people. Didn't work, saw this post and removed Delta Force. Instantly resolved.
