So. How are we feeling about Tokyo ghoul chapter?
I don't mind it, naturally it looks weird seeing anime character outside of anime, but I'll get used it over time.

Most likely 11.99 like Resident Evil

No way, no one would buy him. Just a killer, no survivor, no new map (the latter of which you wouldn’t have to buy the killer to access anyway if there were one, but I digress). I’d say $4.99 like all the other solo killer chapters. $5.99 tops if the license was particularly expensive.

Oh, don't underestimate people, people would pay that much for him and the DLC. Saying no one would buy it is just false.

Lot of people say he doesn't fit in because he isn't scary or some ♥♥♥♥. Just because something is in the horror genre doesn't necessarily mean its scary, I mean half the things labeled "horror" aren't scary at all, DBD included. As long as it contains the general theme of fear or something else along those lines then it can be labeled as horror. At least Tokyo Ghoul lines up with that, unlike Tomb Raider.
Besides that, his power is pretty cool imo. It kind of combines multiple other killer powers, but still feels very unique which is nice. It isn't particularly strong but it looks pretty cool and feels fun to use.

¿did people complained the same way with Dracula?
I did, at least. It was a huge departure. As much as I like Dracula, I don't think he or the other Castlevania characters fit the tone of Dead by Daylight, same as Dungeons and Dragons and Tomb Raider.

I don't really care about this I never watched the show and I'm not convinced the perks are going to be good but maybe I'll get him on a sale.

Cool killer concept that comes with a useless power
I can go fast through the map? Cool
What the ♥♥♥♥ do you mean that im being PUNISHED for attacking a survivor with a 3 SECOND STUN?
And that's just THE BEGGINING of the list of things that is wrong with Kaneki.

Wholeheartedly i hope they fix him cause he's straight up tier Z, map mobility doesn't gives me anything if i can't down the survs

the diference with tomb raider is that its just a survivor character, now if it was a killer from that series that would be a problem.
Dungeons and dragons i agree it doesnt fit, Dracula at least has some kind of "horror" theme if you like.

I don't know anything about Tokyo ghoul so for me, this is a hard pass. Not only because it some anime character who screams a lot, but also since his power is mid, and it design is not that interesting for me.

The perks are nice, so maybe after the chapter finally get a discount, I might buy.

cringe, would be better if it was dio at this point

Jumping all over the place is fun. It feels a little awkward now; I definitely need practice. Some of his perks strike me as useful in some builds, too. And his mori is pretty good; he starts out trying to look cool and collected but loses control of himself and winds up face-first in the survivor's intestines.

...aaaand I'm pretty sure I see a scenario where we get sent to the Forgotten Ruins and the survivors catch me wandering around the library happy as a clam. EDIT: would work in second floor RPD and the Forsaken Boneyard too.

The problem is scale. We now have extradimensional overlords who are capable of killing entire pantheons and universes who are now getting bullied by a couple of kids with flashlights and two shipping pallets tied together with rope. Likewise, we have an immortal vampire who is both the most intelligent scientist and most powerful wizard in his world - impossibly strong, durable and who has no equal in DbD lore also being stopped by methods meant to inconvenience Michael Myers temporarily. These characters are so impossibly strong that it is actually a little insulting to see them lose when their prey don't even fight back like some of them should. Likewise, seeing Lara, Ash, the Castlevania Crew and the RE Crew all running scared when their every appearance shows them fighting back and winning seems a little silly. While it makes more sense for Ash given he has no weapons and is otherwise a mortal man, we also have Chris "Biceps" Redfield, known for literally punching a 10ft boulder into the mouth of a volcano struggling to lift said 40lb pallet with Any Means Necessary. It's just a little weird and doesn't mesh well when you think about what you've seen these characters be capable of.

It is hard to balance characters like Kaneki, Vecna and Dracula against the Dead by Daylight backdrop because Dead by Daylight was created with much more human horrors in mind, with human vulnerabilities. These are larger than life characters being thrown into situations meant for teenagers and men in masks.

The killer looks interesting to play. I'm not a huge fan of anime but I'll definitely be trying him out! Perks look kind of mid-tier other than None Are Free, which is going to be an absolute menace in endgame builds.

I do hope that we don't end up with a ton of anime licenses in a row now though; part of the coolness of new IP is that I know who the character is and enjoy other content they're in. I wouldn't feel that with anime characters. But in the end, as long as the character is fun, I have no issue.

He has probably the best mobility in the game. At first I was a bit eh on it, but after playing some games playing against him, I actually grew quite fond of it

he looks fun to play tbh idc if its anime or not

This, most adults know horror movies are fictional and not scary so the argument horror = scary is kinda subjective

I love that this will open entry for more anime/anime-ish collab, Fatal Frame collab isn't just a fleeting dream anymore
