Why do people hate Dredge's nightfall all of a sudden?
Like why do yall hate nightfall? Its a fun and unique mechanic among killers that can actually allow survivors to experience something more than the stale state of the game now, where its literally just hold M1 on gens, and if you see the killer, Shift+W to the nearest pallet to go in circles.

Its like facing a mini scratched mirror, but you dont see them from 8 miles away because hes a titan with a obvious mask

You can't balance a game around bad hardware.
Fr, people always got an excuse related to hardware and the rare people with visual issues, instead of trying to nerf the killer, ask bhvr to add accessibility

Locking the lockers doesn't stop him getting through them, it just delays him a small bit.

One tip that more survivors need to know when facing Dredge, is to not lock 2 lockers that are right beside each other.

When Dredge teleports to a locker that's beside another, and one of them is locked, he will always be forced into teleporting to the locked one. If you've locked both lockers, he'll come out of the one he just teleported to, see the other one is locked, and break the lock off it.

Better to lock just one, and come back to lock the other at a later point.
The game is already incredibly audio-based, which they've been taking chances to fix slowly but there's still a lot of work to be done. Taking away another sense in-game makes the problem significantly bigger, so I understand the nightfall hate.

spirits whole counterplay is audio, wraiths is minor visuals and ect too many killers have sense based counterplay so its not really possible to change the game to fix this without overhauling or extremely nerfing alot of killers

What is wrong with the game being audio or visual based? It adds a layer of challenge to the game.

What is it yall want? For Spirit to be seen while phasing, with bright red words hovering over here body that you can see across the map? Or for when wraith goes invisible, you can now see his aura permanently?

Ive never seen a community cry and moan about gameplay features that add challenges and differences to gameplay as much as the DBD community. Thats like playing Rainbow Six, and crying because you have to rely on sound to hear footsteps on operators, and that its unfair because it takes away your sense of sight and forces you to use another sense.

Like gtfo.
I'd honestly prefer Nightfall being a whiter obscuring fog than absolute black

I said I'm okay with being blind and losing visibility, but leaning closer to my screen because I don't play games in a pitch black room is dumb, what else you expecting me to say

Sounds like you have monitor issues, turn up your monitor gamma.

having to mess with my gamma is why it annoys me because it becomes too bright for anything else except Nightfall

its not as bad but its like having to deal with flashlights when they turned your entire screen absolute white when you're playing a somewhat dark game

let me ask you, what do you like about nightfall?
I love the darkness effect, it keeps me on edge. I love how it dynamically changes the game from the monotone nature of shift w and hold m1 on gen to "oh ♥♥♥♥ is this guy behind me". And the killer while ultra loud, can be sneaky at times.
As a Dredge main, I am curious how the new gamma feature is going to affect Nightfall.

Hopefully they end up giving him a bit more of a buff if it ends up affecting his power too much. I've always thought that it would make thematic sense for Survivors to actually have the blind status effect during Nightfall.

Nightfall already does virtually nothing on super bright maps. Ormond for instance he may as well not have a power lol
I love it. As survivor maybe is the real only moment a killer scares me. But playing in SoloQ is meh because in that state they all hide behind bushes or in corners doing nothing ha ha

i feel like gamma is gonna be one of those things casual players ignore but tryhards are gonna abuse by putting it at the max for easier games
