I agree, the game is very boring at the state it is in. My brother somehow has over 5000 hours played and I cannot see how he even does this.

Dying: No. Struggling: Yes. Until DBD gets an actual competitor, or BHVR suddenly decides to pull the plug, this game will live for a long time.

Nope, it's still a popular game.

Dead By Daylight has been on a little something I like to call Lifecense Support since it's inception in 2016. You heard that right, Lifecense Support, because without Licenses it wouldn't have even made it this far.

Totally, has been dying since 2016. And every asymmetrical game since then has killed it.

YEP ! A game developed for the killer's view, the gameplay is falling down.
The latest balancing patch and the DLC seem to have had a negative impact on the game, according to steam charts.

November 11 (2nd iteration of 2v8): 68,000 daily players
December 9: 35,000 daily players

Disclaimer: Of course, these numbers don't account for console and Epic Store players.

Everyone who thinks it's dying should check out the online stats:
https://steamdb.info/app/381210/charts/#6y
It's doing good. Better than before, actually.

November '24 ~ 38k avg online.
November '23 and '22 ~ 33k.

Our perception is subjective. Stats aren't.

Daily peak means nothing. Sales, chapters, free weekends, new modes, etc.
Check average monthly or yearly if you wanna see the dynamic.

They post stuff like this cause they feel the gameplay is stale, I don't think they actually believe it's dying lol
