Will 2v8 ever be a mainstay?

Killer main from 2018-2022, the game kinda sucks to play as killer these days and it's more stress than it is fun on 1v4. I remember playing the 2v8 gamemode when it first came around after my long hiatus and I remember absolutely loving as killer it despite not being allowed to play licensed characters.

1v4 isn't very fun anymore imo, I can't even play my main (The Shape) without getting absolutely thrashed, and I remember having a ball playing killers that are typically lesser killers (Wraith, Trapper) during 2v8. I only ever reinstalled the game for the big FNaF collab, but getting back into it is a real struggle without anything truly refreshing to it.

Myers is like D tier as a killer. I feel perhaps if you played a killer that had more substance than meme builds (scratch mirror and tombstone) that you may have more fun playing killer.

Back in the day he was a pretty good killer, had loads of fun with him back in his hayday and got him to P3 when that was an achievement. Upsetting to see that he's basically useless in comparison to other killers, I wish they'd give him a buff so that he'd be fun again.

My other favorite killer that I played with now and again is disabled so I'm really struggling to choose who to play, though Leatherface seems okay at the moment.

yea myers is stuck in 2016, there is a lot more interesting killer gameplay and stregth wise

well myers is terrible since as soon as people know its a myers they stealth and avoid ya gaze at all cost without tier 3 you are a m1 killer on par of trapper


but to answer your question maybe? bhvr main issue is queue times like long times for killers so unless they find a perma fix for that not any time soon

It wont most likely be main stay on normal servers but they did reveal in the anniversary stream that they are planning of adding the game modes to the custom matches so you can play 2v8 with your friends at least when ever you want.

because dbd doesnt have enough players to support queues like that. better hope the 5 people that download the game for fnaf can fix that

The developers only listen to statistics, and the numbers are definitely in favor of 2V8. We can't say for sure, but I believe it's possible. I also find it hilarious that 2V8 is more balanced than 1V4 simply because perks were removed.

Killer is so fun in 2v8 that it has a 20 minute queue so killer mains don't get to play the game, unless they want to spend most of their time alt tabbed waiting for the game start notification

The BHVR dev stream recently revealed that you can start match queuing for the the next game whilst playing a game.
