Abandon
So far I have seen no threads mentioning this feature.

I find it great and use it every time to save a lot of time. A great QoL which favours the "go next" approach. No need to wait until everybody is hooked especially when the entire team is slugged.

What do you think?

Honestly, I'm mixed. I think I would like it more if it gave the killer 30 extra seconds to show mercy after slugging. The game is definitely better with it.
I never press it, what's the point in giving up at the very end?
I ain't no wuss quitter.

You save some time. The question itself is the answer. You already lost. Why wait several more minutes when you can go next?

Is it several more minutes, or 30 seconds?
In any case, I squeeze the game like a nearly dry towel (Struggle Phase) for my extra blood points.

Well, slugging and then giving mercy is contradictory in my book. Personally, I give mercy by escorting the survivor to the hatch or gate and not carry them.

But I understand what you are saying.

I hear you. Fair enough.
Never needed to use it and never had it used on me yet.

So glad we spent the time adding this to the game.
I end up pushing the button by mistake on my xbox controller ( i push buttons when i'm upset at the game even when i'm not trying to dc i keep getting timed lock outs )

Thing is, unless I have a challenge, I don't tend to kill often, and I have found that if you play for even 8 hooks, people want to just go next, so I stopped doing that in favor of a total slug, but with the new system, it gives them another way out before I can let them up. I want a way to show I've won without grinding them into the dust and taking away their will to even play. But that's just me.

Struggle Assumes the Killer even bothers to interact with you. I've waited and watch killers after they slug everybody, and I've noticed, at least since the abandon feature was added, that the sluggy bastards don't even care. There is no penalty for them. IF the killer slugs you and then leaves you on the ground while he goes to slug the other 3 survivors, what struggle points do you get? NONE. No Chase Points, No Wiggle Points, No Healing Points, No Stuggle Points, No Evade Points, No Nothing. So how do you squeeze water from a rock? You Don't. You just lie there and bleed out. Because the Killer is not even hooking anyone. If they hook and Camp, you can try to unhook. If they Hook, then at least SOMEBODY is getting struggle points. But all you can do is watch. IF they want to Mori everyone, well, it doesn't involve me until he comes all the way back across the map to do it. I get no benefit. I'd rather be moried after a chase than 3 minutes later after he chases and slugs everyone else. Since there is no penalty to finishing up with bots, it seems like the sluggy killers just play the worst they can because they know that the survivors are gonna abandon their crappy sluggy match anyway.
Does it take into accounts 4%? or perks that can let you pick up yourself? or deliverance?

I saw many many MANY survivors abandon the match as soon as they get the prompt when everyone was slugged. If that prompt ignore all of the above, then it another step at the face of solo q.

I normally don't hit the abandon, but yesterday I had a 30 minutes match against a Kaneki that kept trying to slug everyone on 5 gens, once camping and waiting for a guy who looped him good to bleed out (didn't happen, I brought him back up). I was with my Lisa Garland healer/anti-slug build so he kept downing people and moving on, and I kept bringing them up, over and over. It was soloq so no way to actually coordinate. It was the most boring match I can remember having in this game, so as soon as I was able to abandon it, I did it and went on to do something else with my life. :steamfacepalm:
It needs a buffer so survivors can use perks and people can't baby rage out of a mori.

I only use abandon when it's down to 2 survivors, i'm on a hook and the other guy gets downed. Im like screw it and get out of there

it doesnt need a buffer since you have to manually choose to do it, if the survivors have perks or something tl help themselves then its on them for abandoning
