massive lag after starting the game

i never had this issue before castlevania update but now every time i start the game, the first match is downright unplayable for at least 5 minutes. I get red ping icon, my character stutters and teleports etc. It's infuriating. The issue is not my internet, it only happens in dbd and only in the first match i play.

After start your game just wait a few min in the main menu before start a match or do anything else.

i do this pretty often but unfortunately this game already has a lot of waiting, and waiting while doing useless things.. i just want to hear if this is a common issue and hope that the devs will do something

I have the same problem. I think this started between dnd and castlevania dlc. I have no idea how common it is but I assume it's rather problem of few because to my report i only got a generic response with nothing that would be helpful. So yeah. just another one of those things that bhvr doesn't care about.

I have the exact same problem. I always start a custom match to get rid of the first 5 minutes lag so I don't ruin a real match.

Actually I found a way to at least slightly get rid of the start-game lags:
-> Download and install an older Nvidia Graphic Driver for your specific graphic card.

My graphic card is GeForce GTX 1060 Windows 64 Bit so I looked up for a driver that got released prior to the release of the Castlevania PTB (6th August). I noticed that on the exact same day when the Castlevania PTB dropped a Driver update got released (Driver version 560.81). I installed that driver version and it still had the huge lags.
So I downloaded and installed the Driver prior to that (Driver version 560.71 from 2024 Juli 16) and it actually got way better!
But I don't know if every Nvidia Graphic card version got an update on Juli 16 so just try out if one of the older drivers works for you.

But the thing is that now I can never Update my driver again if I'm not willed for the huge lags to come back. Also it still lags in the first match, it's just a bit better.

BHVR needs to fix this

It is pretty common, i started to have this too after a certain patch. Had no issiues like that before. First i assumed its my pc memory because it really is packed meanwhile, but friends that have more than enough memory space have the same issiue so..
