Am I the only one not enjoying the event?

The killers are so extremely sweaty and toxic that it's sucking all the fun out of it. I rarely come over a killer that wants to goof around, instead we get slugged. And when I say slugged, I mean people knocked down and then not hooked. Instead we're left to bleed out as a way to waste our time + being humped. If not that, I get hit on the hook over and over.

It doesn't help that the event offering that I supposed to be fun and give bonuses, is personal, so you barely notice any difference in the blood points. It also just gives you some snowballs that you find super easily anyways. I don't wanna sound mean and grumpy during these merry times but I just feel I have to get it out there, cause it's supposed to be a fun and joyous time :(

People are treating the event as to play like a normal match rather than to goof around. I think the reason why a lot of the killers aint goofing around is because survivors are also not goofing around and just running normally. Killers may also not want to goof around and get hit with "The Entity Hungers" and a bunch of ezs in case they just play for "fun". But i kinda blame dbd because a lot of these events are just copy paste with nothing interesting for people to actually participate.

Killers are sweaty AF in bone chill event. I try play snowball fight but they ignore you and knock you down as if its main game. Its like go play main game if you wanna sweat.

Was just playing a couple matches and its honestly just miserable. Killer patrolling hooks and hard tunneling chill survivors at 5 gens. Not surprised the game sits only at 35k even at an event. And the q times are also awful, which makes it even worse if you have such games.

There's been some nice bp-bonus on the event, so that's probably attracting all kinds. The event has also been out for a minute, so maybe you're running into killers that have already been goofing around. It can go stale and regular dbd is fun... but I like having those games every now and then where things just line up and folks go goofy.

Favorite so far was the xenomorph creeping up on me in a snowman, got the smack, then immediately into a snowball fight lol+ggs.

So... I suggest op try playing killer. Be the xenomorph in the snowman that you want there to be.

Went from a stealth wraith -> slugging twins -> tunneling blight -> another twins and 2 teammates dc. Mind you, I've only been running the screaming build with scene partner, really just goofing around. This event is miserable.

the event in itself is fun. so are the possibilities snowmans and snoballs bring. hiding killers or survs are fun and throw snoballs to get the killers attention or just goof around a bit is nice.

sadly there have to be always this special kind of killers ruining everything by goind into maximum overdrive kickdown n2-turbo-inject-v12-engine-mode at second 1... so sometimes you rather decide to pay the entity a visit at hook one and leave this killers behind.

Here's the thing as I see it. Nobody is really playing this event in a "fun" way. Or a very small percent. I pay attention to peoples' builds and such. I've seen hardcore killer and survivor builds on the regular. I can count the amount of "fun" or goofing off builds I've seen on both sides on one hand. So from my perspective both sides are still busting their butts and it is all about people wanting it easy when they complain about not playing nice in the event. Next to nobody really is. Maybe a small and vocal minority at most. Very small compared to playerbase size.

The event offering is bugged, too. It's actually DELETING bp. I've had more than one instance where I've died before someone else and saw they had 40,000 points, then watched it drop to 17,000 when the match ended. I've also gotten to the endgame screen to find I had 15,000 BP when I did two gens and all the unhooks. I've gotten 20+ for less so I knew that number wasn't right. So anyone who was playing for BP likely bowed out as soon as they saw how little they were going to get.

EDIT: I'm playing for Nea's outfit so I am going to keep going until I get my pants and kitty beanie.

Just keep reporting. Make sure you're playing with friends and all report at the end of the game.

this is me the last hour. losing 10 matches or more in a row and it feels like tarkov on insane difficulty.

There is nothing super fun in this game mode, other than maybe getting sandbagged by the snowmen. So, I doubt people see this mode any different than the og mode.

Bro what. You can't just report every killer lol especially if all they did was play the game.
