The Fastest & Slowest Exit Gate Opening Speeds
Video Version Here: https://youtu.be/uv5KvE5gbJs

A while back ago, I did an experiment in which I wanted to see how fast we could make a Survivor run. This resulted in a 346% movement speed increase as the last gen was done.
After that, I got thinking about how it would look on various other actions as well. So after convincing two of my friends to help me with this particular experiment, we put on our science robes and tested the speeds at which the Exit Gates can be opened.

Starting with the fastest speeds, we got a full loadout to capitalize on our ultimate goal. Our loadout for our Survivor consists of Sole Survivor(50% when we're the last one alive), Wake Up!(25%), Resilience(9% when injured), and Spine Chill(6% when the Killer's got LoS on us). This gives us a grand total of 90% extra gate opening speed, which if my math is correct would bring the opening time down to 11 seconds from it's original 20 second total.

Now let's take a look at the slowest speed these things can be opened at.
As of the Doomed Course update, there are only two perks that affect gate opening speed. Those perks are Remember Me and Hex: Pentimento, both of which slow down the gate speed at 4 stacks. Doing the math real quick with the gate's 20s base opening time, Remember Me adding 24s to that time at 4 stacks, and Pentimento slowing that down by 30% at 4 totems, we are looking at a total of 51.2 seconds needed to open the gate from start to finish.

But what if we wanted to use this slowdown method in a serious manner? Well just for those of you who desire to win and make your Survivors truly suffer, I did the math on that as well.
For this, we used the best exit gate defender there is: The Trapper.
Now let's assume you take the addons that make your traps take longer to disarm, tunnel your Obsession out with max Remember Me, get max No Way Out stacks, and are somehow able to successfully hold on to 4 Pentimento totems by the time the exit gates are powered. Well you have locked down the exit gates for a grand total of at least 123.85 seconds. That's over two minutes it would take to open one ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ gate.

That's about all I have to say about this. Next experiment I will do is likely gonna be on generator repair speed, but that will be for when I find a full Survivor squad to aid me on this in Customs.
