Moving the files
1. Go to "AppData\Local\DeadByDaylight\Saved\Config"
2. Open the "WindowsNoEditor" folder
3. Copy the "GameUserSettings" and "Engine" files
4. Go back to the "Config" folder and open the "WindowsClient" folder
5. Paste the files into the folder
6. Set "GameUserSettings" and "Engine" files to read-only (Right click > Properties)
Oh and I believe you shouldn't do that what the other user suggested. The old .ini files have more options than the old one. So, don't just replace the new ini with the old one and don't do the read-only thing.
I did as you said and it does work indeed, BUT like @Dunkler Messias said there are more options in WindowsClient\GameUserSettings.ini
Thanks for the warn!
I have compared both the new GameUserSettings.ini and the old one. In the old there are 112 lines of text while in the new one there are 123 lines of text. https://i.imgur.com/KTeuct7.png
I haven't checked yet what as been add but I believe the better solution is to manually change the settings (In WindowsClient\GameUserSettings.ini and/or Engine.ini), as you want them (as I once did for a better resolution).
But this helped for me:
Open the DbD game folder \Steam\steamapps\common\Dead by Daylight and right click on the deabydaylight.exe. Go to properties. Click on the compatibility page and open "Change high DPI settings". At the bottom just check the checkbox next to "Override high DPI scaling behavior".
Works like a charm!
I should have thought of this trick since I've already done it not even a month ago to be able to play the Penumbra games in 4K without display issues.
If you ever want to up the in game screen resolution option above 100%, I managed to make it work again within WindowsClient\GameUserSettings.ini (I used to have it at 150%).
In WindowsClient\GameUserSettings.ini replace every resolution stated (to be sure) with your native resolution. Then, you should be able to wrote ScreenResolution=150, for example, without the game resetting it to 100 after launch.

Hope this helps too!
I cannot speak for a 2k monitor (if this is what you mean), I haven't had one. But I have a 4k monitor and the game didn't take it into account.
To make it work correctly do as it is explained here:
You can also do what I said in my previous comment, for extra visual crisp.
Looks like a very specific problem. To begin with, you might want to verify the game files via Steam.
In your games library, select the game with Right click > Properties >Local Files > Verify integrity of games files...
