Does Blindness block item auras for Franklins?

Just a quick ask cause it seems to have slipped my mind, does the Blindness Status Effect block dropped items?

Cause I've been thinking of running Franklin's + Hoarder on Skull Merchant with her brown Blindness addon with the idea of "Survivor finds/brings item, I slappa it outta their hand, immediately drop a drone on it then either wait for the item to deplete OR a survivor tries to reclaim their precious treasure. The idea being that as soon as they enter the Drone radius their item's aura disappears and they have to frantically hunt for it while I get to see them struggle.

Would this actually work? I know SM has a bad rep for gen camping nonsense so I thought this might be a little more fun for survivor's to face.

I believe it should since it is an aura but I haven't tested it. Sounds like it could be fun but I imagine it won't be too hard for them to find it.

Can confirm it does block all auras from hooked survivors, to items, to totems tracked by a map

blindness only doesn't block white auras which are almost exclusive to killer objects like pig box
