Lethal Pursuer is not a good perk
I know it's a baby killer perk but i'm not sure why i'm seeing it often and especially on random killers who make even less use out of it. It seems newer players are just seeing a random youtuber or twitch streamer use it and just sticking it on their killers.. Or they bought it on the welfare shrine ect.
It's funny that some killers are so desperate to find someone quickly that they're willing to waste a perk slot just to avoid any chance of having to search even the tiniest bit, when you can simply use even the nerfed version of corrupt intervention and have a zone given to you to search and be guaranteed to find a survivor(s) in that general area while also having some gens blocked until you get the first down. It's a very weird baby killer fascination with this perk for some reason and it's not as if they can afford to take 3 perks into a match when they already struggle to get survivors... Also it's heavily countered by distortion and a team can take 3x distortion and have a good runner be seen on purpose by lethal pursuer to make sure the killer chases them (Which they of course will, i see a survivor so it must be a good perk..) I don't think iv'e ever used it since nemesis release since once for adept and maybe another time to find someone i didn't like from the lobby quickly.
It's also not going to make a baby killer better and they'd be better off to learn the map spawns and take a useful perk instead that helps in chases or protects gens, hell even noed would be better. You could take it on Nurse since even two perks will suffice if you're a good nurse, so it doesn't matter. Very very medicore perk and there's far better options, i'm not sure who's telling baby killers that it's a good perk, maybe survivor mains.

1. If you already know it's a baby killer perk (not for huntresses or nurse with a specific perk build) so why are you fussing about it being useless to a new killer?

2. 3x distortion counter is horse sh*t, perk countering isn't a deliberate thing in dbd, simply because neither side can see each other's perks.

3. Lethal pursuer is NOT a mediocre perk, since it allows you to engage first chase and pressure gens on the fly as a killer. You're entire basis of claiming this perk useless is unsubstantial.

Based on what? You can find them quickly and have a strong perk instead..

It gets you in a chase quickly (which may be bad if it's a good survivor) lasts 9 seconds, then what? it's gone
Distortion is very common now and should be in most builds since there's many wheelchair mechanics to reveal survivor auras from doing hardly nothing.
No thanks, i'd rather stick to having good sound, tracking ability and map awareness instead of using a stabiliser perk designed for new players. Funny how i win practically every killer game without it, almost like it's a skill issue.

Good killers don't need it even after it's buff. Most maps are designed and are small enough that it's not required to find survivors quickly. You can literally always find a survivor within 8-10 seconds with proper pathing on 95% of maps.

I see Windows of Opportunity and Zanshin Tactics as being moreso 'baby' perks if we're going to go off of utility to learn the game.

Lethal can teach you to eventually learn spawn patterns yeah, but it also gets early pressure if anyone isn't running dissolution plus the added bonus of +2 seconds of aura reading to any other aura perk/addon.

Aura reading builds are cheap and not needed by skilled killers who can chase well and have good map awareness, sound ect
Windows of opportunity isn't a baby perk like lethal since only survivors who know what they're doing and will actually make use of knowing where nearby windows and pallets are will make good use of it. Lethal is for the opposite type of player who are just desperate to find people quickly and are new/not particularly skilled

I've been around these forums long enough to see every build be considered 'cheap.' I'm not impressed when I see that thrown around anymore.

Now facecamping and tunneling? You can convince me it's a cheap tactic, even if it's required in some cases. But aura reading? Once you identify which aura reading perks/addons the killer has it's easy enough to avoid. And once you know they have lethal, add 2 seconds to that timer in your head before leaving the lockers and be spotted by BBQ.

You could make this arguement about literally any perk in the game, you are not presenting a logical arguement other than its a perk for baby killers because you say its a perk for baby Killers. A skilled survivor can loop a Killer without any perks so by the same logic any survivor perk is a perk for baby survivors. The same could be said about any Killer perk.

It's also logically inconsistent that you say it's a bad perk and only baby Killers would use it when they should be using something stronger. If they are using bad perks and winning then they are doing well for themselves.

As an Artist main, this is false, the perk is great to shoot crows at survivors right away lol

Learn the spawnpoints. Fire blind and hit them anyway. Or use Whispers, which is like Lethal except it requires actual gamesense and lasts the entire match.

But it also is a decent combo to BBQ, i kind of prefer these perks for my crow shooting

Not really. BBQ isn't an amazing perk anyway since it can be countered so many ways without requiring perks. A Nurse's Calling would work far better for shorter distances, and works in situations where the crows will absolutely mangle people. If you're trying to snipe people, gamesense ALONE should be enough. You should know generally, what the Survivors are doing (assuming they're competent) at most times in the match. You should know which generators they're repairing based on their spawn locations and where you've seen people or seen crows flying. ETC.

Aura read for the Killer is way overrated by Survivor mains because they assume that Killers have to have direct line of sight in order to know what's going on. But that's just... not the case. There are parts where aura read is incredibly strong, like A Nurse's Calling and Undying (for totem builds), because the aura read occurs when the Survivors are doing something you can exploit or need to defend against. But in general, it's a weak mechanic for Killers that have gamesense.

"Just fire blind at where you think the spawn points are" is a weird argument to put up against "I snipe people with birds at the start of the match"

The bird's are a rifle, not a machine gun, man
