untrusted files easy anti-cheat

so, every single time I try to launch dbd, it shows me an error code, and then i get a pop up "easy anti-cheat, untrusted system file" with a file link. I tried

-verifying game files
-reinstalling dbd and rebooting
-uninstalling easy anti-cheat, reinstalling it and then rebooting my laptop
-deleting the file "certificate" as many mentioned it's a fix, but then the game launches but says files were deleted and close itself after clicking ok

I'm out of solutions, can someone help me? literally every other games works just fine! I don't understand.

Also having the issue related to normaliz.dll, which is a system file. DBD needs to update something.

This did not fix it. I am starting to think it is because I am on Windows Insider builds.

how am I supposed to verify only EAC ? all I can do if I open easy anti cheat is repair "game 83" or something like that, the other option is to uninstall it. I do not see any other options for this

Restart your PC!
Ensure the latest updates for Windows are installed
Remove the Easy Anti-Cheat Certificates & Install/Repair Easy Anti-Cheat:
Navigate to: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer Vermintide 2\EasyAntiCheat
Delete the 'Certificates' directory
Navigate to: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer Vermintide 2\installers\EasyAntiCheat
Run the EasyAntiCheat_Setup installer and proceed as instructed
Then use the 'Verify Integrity of Game Files' option in steam.

Try and launch the game afterwards.

Also, can you play a different game that also uses EAC without issue? Knowing that would help narrow it down a lot either way.

yeah, fortnite does and it runs just fine! it's really just dbd

If all that fails go to C:\Users\*pc name*\AppData\Local this is were some data is saved and can be pulling up conflicting stats, Delete the folder and start the game steam will redownload your save and set registry.

rebooting my pc fixed this but I had to hold down the power button as my pc got stuck on the restarting screen (windows 10)

I finally found what was the issue for me! it was my firewall protection, I had to allow both easy anti cheat and behavior interactive and now the game works!
