Shrine of secrets is the better way to get survivor perks?

Just found out what it is. I won't get killer perks with it since I'd be missing out on each unique killer like that but it seems like a good idea for survivor perks.

No, buying the survivors with shards is still way more cost effective. Buying a perk from the shrine costs 2k per level, so in order to get a perk up to p3 you need to spend 6k per perk, or 18k total to max out 3 of a given survivor's perks. Buying a survivor with shards costs 9k, 4.5k if you get them during a sale which happens pretty often, and with that it doesn't cost you any more to get their perks up to p3, you just have to level them. 4.5k < 18k

It's a good way to get survivor perks, especially if a survivor has only one perk you're interested in. Essentially the survivors are just interchangeable skins.

It actually depends on whether you value BP or Shards, because getting the character from shards might be more expensive at first, but after that you can prestige them and get the perk for free on all other characters.

I generally wouldn't recommend buying upgrades from the shrine unless you really want to get that perk to level 3 asap and only if you are really sure you won't ever be interested in any of the other perks that character has.

And if you might get the character later... never get their perks from the shrine.

oh I thought I can level it up after buying it from the shrine. Thanks for the info I wouldve complained about having trouble with the perks on here if I didn't know

Just to make it clear, you can level up the perk as normal in the bloodweb after you buy the tier 1 version in the shrine. I've never bought a perk past tier 1.

also do perks belonging to characters and killers that are from dlc like resident evil show up in there? The ones that cant be bought with iridescent shards.

You can upgrade it through the bloodweb, yes, but when you prestige a character all of their perks become available on all of your characters at their prestige level, so if, for example, you get dwight up to prestige level 3, then from then on bond, prove thyself and leader will automatically show up in every character's inventory at level 3. This means that you waste less time and less BP fishing for the perks that you want on a future character. You can't do that when you buy a perk off the shrine unless you want to spend another 2k shards per level.

If you don't find that valuable, then by all means, grab whatever perks you want off the shrine, but personally, I think that's that's a big waste, especially with halloween coming up. They always have sales around halloween that let you get characters for about half off.

Just level it up in your bloodweb 2k*3 = 6k and saves a million bp + waiting for a sale

If you are thinking of buying a specific DLC or character either with Auric Cells or Iridescent Shards you will get all the perks from that/those characters.
But if you want just 1 specific Perk from a character you don´t want to buy and a good perk pops up at the Shrine, buy it. Allthough other than purple are not very good, right?!
Kinda depends if you´re aiming to use money or time playing and earn.
Note: Registered characters can only be adquired with Auric Cells meaning you have to buy the DLC, and I´m not sure but I don´t recall seeing perks from those characters on the Shrine ever.

Sorry, I can´t confirm if those perks are upgradeable, I never bought under the purple.

I mean if you want to wait literal years to collect all the perks, then sure, knock yourself out, but you could also just buy most survivors with shards.
