Why is there so many smurfs?

I'm rank 17 but i keep getting matchmade with either rank 3-10 or someone who is the same rank as me but is capable of running me in circles for the whole match while being an annoying prick.
"You are just bad" True, but shouldn't i get paired with other "Bad" players then??

It's not uncommon, I watch many dbd streamers who also take the mick out of rank 20-11 killers using smurfs like some of the well known bigger dbd streamers as well but obviously those that don't stream will likely have smurfs.

Its not really smurfing, is just bad matchmaking and rank system. As you rank up you will face more and more people with 1000+ ingame hours while you have maybe 200, it is what it is.

In that case, but most of the time you get paired with red ranks even when you are yellow, thats not smurfing thats bad matchmaking.

I want to assume some are just annoyed with how red ranks generally are so they smurf to have easier and less sweaty games, or something.

Only reason I’ve used an alt was so my poor new friend could stand a chance. Didn’t need to let the poor guy see the awful state of red ranks, he’s too wholesome.

Well yeah the matchmaking is busted any which way but do have to factor those who swf as well.

Ranking system should just go anyhow because it isn't that great. I got just over 200 hrs and I get killers with 5k+ hours and I have been killer vs survivors with 5k+ hours. Tbh I feel I've improved more playing against those more experienced players because as killer I got to witness how good survivors have looped my ass and as a survivor I got to witness how good killers can outmind game you and what they try to do. It's part of the growing pain in this game especially since it has no "real" tutorial training system. Just throws you right into the grinder.

Sure, i might get better. Eventually, but i don't have 500 hours to throw away on a game that i "Might" end up being good at. It's just not worth it, Or fun.

Just go refund if u r playing as killer. Why would anyone bother to practice on nurse? Like killer players are paid for playing this game. If u don't wanna play as survivor, just go refund. Killers are servent and survivors are lords

Even mediocre survivors can run baby killers for a while if they don't understand how to chase properly and probably have no sound for tracking.
