IMO, New Haddonfield is worse than Old Haddonfield
The infinite potential is far more devastating (how? most other maps solved this already) and the spacing of the map is absolutely dismal for most killers.

There is no anticipation and no way to mind game an approach when you need to cross a 30 second long street with no obstacles just to reach one side of the map.

Slower mobility killers are destroyed by the poor design of the buildings and it's a complete slog to play on, with most hitboxes for bushes and other foliage being absolutely busted and swallowing projectiles/blocking flashlight beams.

It's visually bland in comparison to Old Haddonfield (which looked like an Xbox 360 game at best) and feels more like a test map than a final product. RPD is somehow easier to play on, and that's quite a rough statement to have to make.

Sounds more like a skill issue than a map issue, clearly a minority in that opinion

Nah, new haddonfield has aspects that are 100% worse than the original, mostly taking the form of the window vaults in the houses.

At least with the rooftops you had to commit to the location and could be scared off the location in a few ways, the amount of walking you have to do with the newer vaults is stuuuupid imo. But hey, Wesker's perk seems to be a good solution I guess

We can only hope.

Old Haddonfield was misery everywhere for killer. Now it's misery in the houses like before, but on the outside it's quite good for killer and it usually has quite tight 3 gen possibility. I'd welcome more balanced experience in both in and outside, but hell no to everything being survivor sided again like before.

Ha ha ha! It's so ironic!

New Haddonfeild suffers the same problem most recent DBD maps have had….

Too large in size with 50/50 god loops and dead zones.

Neither sides get that much enjoyment from the map design and it does get fristraighting the devs have not learned.

Just protect the 3 gen in the middle. The 3 gens will always spawn (2 gens at main, 3rd either close on "left" or "right").

5.5k hours, played through the dark age of balance but the second any complaint is made about a questionable map design it's a skill issue, save your low effort response because i would legitimately juice you in a match weirdo

that's a good tactic, but the fun for me comes from the thrill of the chase over the winning of the match (not that I don't enjoy that too), chases just seem miserable on the new version

for sure. everything is far too dead or far too safe. it feels bad to get lery's or game as billy. feels bad to get haddonfield on every killer.

we can only hope they'll gradually improve, they've managed it a few times before with decent reworks (rarely, though)

im not the best killer but i really dont understand what im supposed to do when im playing anyone that isnt nurse when someone just runs into that one house that has two windows on the ground floor which lead outside where they can go back into the house through either way

it happens every other game on there and people just lead me there and i have no clue about what to do, they always wait until you enter the building so you cant expect them to go through early to catch them off guard or something

poor design, no good way to put it. they designed and added breakable walls to solve this exact problem and forgot to use them, quite embarassing

i agree with this post 100% the new haddonfield is horrible

New haddonfield is horrible but not for killers only for survivors. Imagine thinking haddonfield is survivor sided after the update because there are two windows in one house to jump through but the rest of the map is a dead wide open zone that killer can spot survivor from across the map and down them easily.

Yeah its worse than before but for survivors.

The map is so small and its so easy to control both of the exit gates, most loops are short and the buildings are weaker than before. Its a bad survivor map and i know i will likely lose when i load into it.

I never said it was survivor sided. Survivors are destroyed by the rest of the map, whereas one good loop of the main building against certain killers is enough to lose the entire game. I said it was worse than old haddonfield.
