I run Hex Undying, Devour Hope, Plaything, Pentimento. + addons for zombies speed or speed + FOV of zombies.
Basically - you cleanse totems? You are f*cked. You don't? You are f*cked. Well, not very strong build against swf. Against swf my totems are done within 2 minutes or so...
With Nemo and other M2 killers you can actually hide activated Devour so you taking down chances on cleanse.
It feels like im the only one looking for it and NOT HEALING.
Ye, Haunted is also good perk into Hex combo but it feels kinda weak for me. I never was that type of killer who was able to memorize positions of all survivors, gen progression, etc. I use other tactics into my advantage. Basically yes, you can have 2 times Hounter thanks to Undying but it's still kinda rush perk. I am using this combo more into late game when I count with at least 3 stack devour or 5 stack pentimento. Well, tbh, to get 5 stack pentimento is much harder, because usually when you have all totems cleansed and you just go to pop them, when you are on 4, 1 is usually cleansed already, so you won't hit that 5 stack combo. But it doesn't matter. I care more about 1 hex and 2 hexes bonus from pentimento. That's 30% slowed repair speed and 30% slowed healing speed. And to be honest, I don't think I ever had a game, when I didn't have at least 1 pentimento stack at the end of the game.
I rarely see it even hit 3 stacks personally; either mine or my enemy's.
DH would be fine if you lost the ability to kill survivors after having done it once.
It's way too much of a wild swing. You could play 8/10 games and it does nothing but it wins 2 games for you with no other input needed.
Does that make it fun to use? No.
Does that make it fun to play against? No.
I think DH is the best Hex currently in the game because it's incredibly weak but can swing the ♥♥♥♥ out of the game if the Survivors aren't careful. It also promotes leaving the hook. If you notice that the Killer is instantly ghosting the hook, you know they probably have it. It's a matter of finding and snuffing the totem at that point, but that's a knowledge gate more than a difficulty gate. Totem hunt perks can help if you don't memorize the locations.
If you took away the infinite moris and reduced it to just 1, I'd want a bonus on earlier stages to help you get to that point. Because otherwise, it's just spicy, more restrictive NoED.
It's also an example of a perk that gives the Survivors something to do. If they have Devour Hope, you're ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ done if you don't find it (provided the Killer is actually getting tokens).
