Similar games to DBD to play in 2024?

I know there is Texas Chain Saw Massacre and Killer Klowns. I'm not sure if those games are still active tho. Are they worth getting? Are there any other games you know of?

The very reason DBD is still alive to this day is that there is no other game that successfully managed to compete with it, so not there is no game similar to DBD that could replicate a similar feeling, your best bet is to have a big group of friends to play with, otherwise 90% of them are dead games

DBD is the only asymmetric game of its kind with a stable player base. I would recommend going on a hike in the woods if you are looking for something else to do. A hike is both better for you and involves far less toxic encounters

Identity V, very similar. Very rough from first appearance.
Been playing dbd 8 years, Identity V for 2 years.

I prefer Identity V now, there just too much quality of life and content (such as Surrendering and 2v8) that I want in dbd

TCM and KKFOS are the only actively supported Asyms atm

Identity V is a scuffed mobile game but it has a lot of content like DbD and the biggest playerbase

Predator: Hunting Grounds was supposed to get revived this fall on new gen consoles with new updates, no info yet

Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed is still playable but support has ceased

All other Asym Horrors are dead like Propnight VHS HomeSweetHome

Carnival Hunt is TBA

Friday the 13th and Halloween are getting new games TBA

Seconding Identity V. I’ve played it a little in the past and had fun (plus I love some of their collabs over the years). Unfortunately, now it constantly crashes on my tablet and I have no clue how (or if it’s even possible) to play it on my Steam Deck. I wish they’d bring it to Steam. I also wish VHS and Friday the 13th were still around. Both looked unique and fun. None of the other current asymms look interesting to me (save for one that’s still in early access and is borderline dead at this point from what I’ve heard, unfortunately).
