Nvidia filter wont work
this last patch wont allow NVIDIA filter to work and the devs have yet to speak about the issue knowing there is a LARGE amount of players that cant access these changes causing most if not all maps to be dark and unplayable. i like to use "detail" filter but without it everything is dark as hell and clouded.

BHVR posted on reddit about the NVIDIA filter issue. You can search it easily, it's a comment on a post about it. I agree the darkness is awful and it makes my eyes painful and they water a LOT, so I'm having to play on low (barely helps) cos I really don't like Reshade personally (too heavy on my system and I don't need that much customisation). Hoping it'll be fixed eventually.

To use the filters normally again and I can confirm it works. You have to disable the Nvidia in-game overlay from the Geforce settings before you start the game and turn it on again when the game's splash screen appears (The EAC screen). If done correctly it should let you use the filters again but you gotta do this every time you reopen the game. I tried it 5 times today and the filters working.

This really does work, thank you very much.

The latest Nvidia App (I use that not GeForce Experience) now should working the filters, at least the patch notes mentioned fixed Nvidia filters and it stated DBD in the list!

Filters still are not working for me, even after the update...anyone else?

Yes, they don't work unless I do as Raquelita said. I am on Nvidia App, not Nvidia GeForce Experience, it should work but it doesn't.

There is honestly no reason they should have blocked the filters. It's not like you can use them to add an outline around survivors.

All the big name streamers are using the shade of re to drastically alter the colors of the game to make it look like the game takes place during afternoon sun.

Nvidia tools is nowhere near as invasive and yet it gets the red light? LOL.

You are right. With Nvidia the game looks more beautiful. We are in 2024, otherwise Dbd without those filters looks old. And remember they are now using Unreal 5.

Just use ReShade for the filters. RTX HDR also works for me without the filters.

It's been almost a week or so and the filters still don't work... but if your monitor allows it, you can play with the settings and will be able to put some colour into the game.
You can also play with Nvidia's control panel and turn the brightness + contrast up, but that's about it, nothing is close to filters. Vanilla game looks pretty dark and blurry, I miss the sharpness the most tbh
I've heard about Reshade too, but I haven't tried it so I can't really say something about it

Everyone is ignoring your answer, where are these patch notes?
You mean the beta nvidia app? does it replace GF experience? do drivers version matter?

I just turn up my brightness in the NVIDIA control panel when I'm playing then set it back to normal when I'm done.

Just the bug section.

It does replace GF experience, drivers shouldnt matter but being up to date doesnt hurt!

I still have to do what Raquelita suggests though. So there was likely a separate bug that this is referring too.

Can confirm this works. on the splash screen wait for 'initialising' to change to 'Waiting for game' then turn the overlay setting back on. DBD opened with my overlay filter in place like it was the last time i used it before the patch broke Nvidia filter
