Game stuttering anytime the mouse is moved
After the Castlevania update my game is unplayable. In game and on the menu anytime the mouse is moved the game stutters like crazy. If the mouse is left alone it runs fine. Been playing on the same computer since 2019 and it always ran smoothly.

I've check other suggestions, mouse is at 125 hz and I've turned off enhanced mouse smoothing both in windows and by attempting to edit the input.inu file. Unistalled and reinstalled and it's still happening. Anyone have any fixes?

No one else having this issue?

I tried verifying files and running in dx11. No improvement.
Same! Tried everything - no results. My second comp (notebook, much lower parameters) doesn't have such problems. Wtf... What we gonna do? Bhvr support is dead, no answer from them.
I get stuttering with the Right mouse button, probably just the last hurah of an old soldier.
I to was having this issue, i done everything to try to resolve it. I made 1 last ditch effort before completely blaming dbd. I DDU'd (device driver uninstalled) my gpu drivers as someone stated it could be a corrupted driver, I'll be it worked flawlessly and no more stutter.
I've dealt with dbd stuttering my entire life and recently I've discovered something that might work for a few people

Drop your PC specs and I will try my best to help you!

Here is what my GEforce experience lists:
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6gb
Driver Version 560.94
Intel i7-7700k CPU
15.95 gB Ram
2560x1080 60hz

Appreciate any help, I've tried what I can think of :(

I did just update my driver, my specs are above, I'm a bit of a novice, how would I go about doing that? Thank you!
I found the reason! LG On screen control tool. Turned it off - no freezing now. Try to find smth the same, if you have another monitor.

Hey I was quite late, to begin with your pc is quite old but should definitely run dbd at lower settings I think, you should try DDUing nvidia driver to reset shader cache fully and reinstall with nvcleanstall without geforce experience (dbd hates overlays so running gexperience+steam will already be an issue) you can find tutorials in YT.

One very simple fix you can begin with is simply testing -dx11 but I assume u did already.
Try these aswell

1. Going into input.ini file and adding this line
C:\Users\xxxxx\AppData\Local\DeadByDaylight\Saved\Config\WindowsClient

[/script/engine.inputsettings]
bEnableMouseSmoothing=False

2. Second suggestion which worked for me is. Running steam as admin.

if you play dbd for 5 minutes and check your event viewer it will be full of errors by EAC because it cannot access system files. So the only solution is giving steam admin which will allow EAC to run as admin (i tried running EAC and DBD as admin but that didn't help it has to be steam)

This was it....who would ever think that would be it, I tried turning off all other overlays I knew about but didn't know about that one...Thank you!

I did try the INI file but stuttering continued (turned off microsoft enhanced pointer option as well). Apparently it was an LG monitor background program doing it. It's been running for years on with my current monitor so no idea why this update suddenly made it have an issue.

Thank you for helping!

i7 11th gen F cpu
3060 ti latest version
16 gb ram
1920x1080 g sync monitor 240hz

Prior to the update I ran dbd on ultra 120fps settings light work, now it’s fine until I move my mouse around it starts lagging and stuttering until I stop moving it. Apparently changing the settings from ultra to low doesn’t change this.
Do you have the "Punto Switcher" utility installed by any chance? I had the same problem, and I just found the cause of these lags - an old version of Punto Switcher! I removed it and installed the latest version - now everything is fine, the lags are gone! :Model005thumbs:
I have no idea what the heck that is so probably not
