EAS Error 30004/BSOD

I've tried to start this game like 4 times now, one of which ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up my laptop's startup once... everytime it crashes, no matter what I do... I followed some steps in a reddit post and none of them helped at all... my windows can't be corrupted either because my filesystem scan came back clean. (Sfc /scannow)
I don't know what to do, my significant other really wanted me to play this game with them.

Have you verified the game files from settings?

this is a really dumb suggestion to make but it worked for me and everyone else who tried it: download guild wars 2 and start the game. after you opened guild wars 2, try booting up dead by daylight again. it works like a charm, for some reason? yeah, but it worked for me!

Are you just trying to advertise a game? Do you get something for doing so?

for me sometimes (quite often) game freezes and crashes gpu driver. idk what it is but could be eac. wish someone cutie unbug me.

i have literally nothing to gain from someone downloading guild wars 2 lol i just saw someone on reddit talk that he booted up guild wars 2 and after that he was able to play dbd again, so i did the exact same thing and it worked for me. you can look at my activity on my profile that today was the first day that ive started that game.

Had to get the ps4 version
Hope everyone can get a refund for this if they can't play
I was using a family share copy

had the same issue, not sure if there's any correlation but i changed my name on steam and it ended up working for me.
