Is Proxy camping + tunneling + slugging is a common strategy in tournament?
I just happen to see a tournament match where the presenter talks this strategy as absolutely normal.

The killer is a nurse. And she killed first survivor without hooking any other survivor.

Any part of this strategy is very often criticized in our non-tournament play as toxic. 3 kinds of "toxic play" combined all together, and with the strongest killer. If this is norm, then it is very surprising to me.

Is this strategy commonly accepted in dbd tournaments?

Yeah, go to DBD league on youtube, you can find competing comp teams, scrims, and tournaments.

probably 95% of matches have the first kill happen on the 3rd of 4th hook. Free unhooks are rare, with most of the time the killer gets a hit or a down for every unhook.

Keep in mind, the tournaments have extensive perk bans on both sides for both killer and survivor, for example: in Doctor games, Decisive and Off the record are both banned. In Nurse games, DS and OTR can be equipped. But in all settings, survivors are not allowed to repeat perks (no 4x-decisive or 4x-unbreakable).

There are some other leagues besides DBD league like hens tourney, or outrun the fog(which i think closed down now). It's the same in all of them. The meta is tunnelling, no free unhooks, slug for pressure, protect a three gen.
