I wouldn’t have known they nerfed Vecna, he still feels really OP to me (That being said, I’ve only faced him a handful of times since he seems to have a low pick rate at…whatever the heck MMR is).
It’s also worth noting that Dracula received some significant buffs after release (This coming from someone who will DEFINITELY buy and probably main Dracula when the Castlevania chapter goes on a decent sale)-and I’m usually more than happy to face him in solo queue.
He is tough to adjust from a dev pov I imagine because each power is not only situational but also transformations before or mid-chase allows him to make unexpected complex plays either to catch up or to suddenly use his other power from a new direction and he doesn't lose much distance by switching forms at all which is really the hardest thing to deal with imo
really depends on specifically where you are running him but to get around his power you need to anticipate his next move and bait and dodge it but you also have to watch out for him zoning you or putting you into a lose/lose
General rule of thumb is anticipate him using a fireball on low loops and windows/pallets and using wolf around high walls and jungle gyms, also don't leave the loop unless you have another one right next to it even if you win a mindgame because he can catch up with bat mode if he has a general idea of your direction
Also sometimes they will use bat mode to teleport to a window or pallet in front of you and quickly switch to use power on you from there in this case you can anticipate it like dredge using teleport
Also remember you're safe while he's in bat mode but only if you don't let him know where you are, otherwise if he can keep your location he will not lose you and can transform close to you and go for m1 quickly like spirit or even immediately play for an m2
To me he's very hard but not as annoying as vecna when he places flight of the damned on top of you around a loop but he has stronger catch up than vecna which he can use to make up for mistakes almost every time
Yes, that's typically how shapeshifter classes work. The player is intended to be rewarded for using the right form at the right time and punished for misplaying.
Having access to 3 forms and their abilities doesn't mean you have access to everything all at once all the time without any consideration of opportunity cost or time management.
But OP IN CUTENESS!
Well when I play Dracula and someone pets me in wolf form I automatically leave them alone X) People who pet the dog should be protected!
This is more an issue of learning counterplay. Don't camp pallets, loop tightly, don't run mindlessly to the next loop.
Keep in mind, if he's in vamp form treat him like you would Nemesis.
If he's in Wolf Form, treat him like you would Wesker.
And if he's in Bat Form, well keep in mind he can't see you. He tracks like Spirit in that mode.
Most good drac's only use that form to catch up between loops anyway or to fly over god pallets.
