why dont we get the original alpha build survivors
those survivors we see in the verry first trailer in dbd in the launch trailer why dont we get them
seems un fair to have made those models and not use them

You mean this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JGhIXLO3ul8 ?

I know why, it's cause its clear that the art director doesn't want negative stereotypes.

1) Claudette went from this ghetto looking black girl with a bandanna+skull tattoos+a jersey (How stereotypical though?) to a nerdy introverted botanist

2) The flavor text for many of the champions is riddled with "men are evil" and "women empowerment". You can read Rin (Spirit)'s logs or Meg or Claudette. Rin's dad was abusive and she got beat from her classmates and her dad or some ♥♥♥♥. Same with Yui.

3) They look overtly American in the launch trailer. I think the art team realized if the entity is some other dimensional being, their victims should be from ALL walks of life
That being said, the fact that there isn't a serial killer or bad person among the survivors is kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. They're all "Good" people overall. Unless Dwight is a pedo/serial killer. I can see that.

4) Funnily enough, the female skins are sexualized to an extent so they can sell and they have probably one of the most stereotypical asian stereotypes for Meng. Some sort, petite, gamer girl with a high pitched voice. They know asian girls sell.

5) Jane. Pretty much their attempt at saying "all body types are fine". I have nothing against this.

Its funny that they do the above but there's not one single evil survivor or douche bag survivor. Honestly, they need a fat balding middle aged white man. But instead, they give us Felix (A sexier Elon Musk).

So probably because Ghetto Claudette wouldn't sell. and/or was way too negative of a stereotype or they just didnt want gang looking survivors.

Pretty sure dbd was an Early Access game. So everything with an early access game is subject to change very much at the start.

The alpha footage I've seen looked a little more fast paced close to Deathgarden and I guess they just weren't happy with the characters they had made.

I prefer the survivors we have now anyway. If they bring them back as legendary skins for our current characters to fill spots I will be fine with that.

I'm pretty sure the black girl was actually meg, and "claudette" was the nerdy looking white girl with the green shirt (sweater?) on the hook. also, the fact that meg was voiced by a black girl and claudette was voiced by a white girl.

if we had a fat balding middle aged white man, he better be slower than the rest of the survivors, we don't need that, and we don't need "evil" people as survivors like serial killers, other wise guess what? The entity would have made those evil people killers not survivors. Please man use some common sense here, most of the killers, are bad people.

in my opinion the black girl in the trailer more so resembled meg. sporty runner athletic girl. what makes you think it was supposed to be claudette?

What's wrong with morally grey characters? Having a buncha claudettes and dwights gets old fast. I already know why though, it's so they don't have to deal with censorship. Even a borderline criminal/social deviant character would get censored in some markets.

lol common sense? I don't think you've read the lore. Most of the non-licensed killers aren't here cause they want to, most of them have tortured lives. Leather face (Bubba) is actually scared, its stated he's so scared that people will ruin his family or him so he has to kill them out of fear.

The only non-licensed killer that comes close to pure evil is the trapper. Rest are tragic stories/etc. Licensed killers like Myers and Freddy are a given.

Wraith, literally crushed people regardless of him knowing or not, he then killed his boss because he found out, he grabbed his bosses head and ripped it with his spine out, no "Good" person does that, kill the boss because he's a bad dude? Sure whatever but then PROCEED TO GRAB HIS ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ HEAD AND RIP IT OFF no good sane person would do that. Anna and spirit are the only killers that are there that weren't bad people, Billy where yeah was trapped by his parents broke out and KILLED them, again a good person wouldn't do that. Now am I for morally grey characters? Yes, but an out right evil character shouldn't be a survivor.
