EAC client cannot be instantiated bug
First off WHY HAD THIS NOT BEEN ACTUALLY FIXED YET?!

Secondly, I played twice in one day. The first session I was able to boot up and get in just fine. Not even 8 hours later, when I booted up to play a second time, I was met with the "EAC client cannot be instantiated" issue. I legitimately do not understand how or why this is happening, and I have yet to find an actual solution to it.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice and the issue persists. Does anyone have a reliable fix for the issue, or am I at the mercy of RNG to be able to get in after a random number of reinstalls?

I doubt re-installing more than once will change anything. What worked for me was verifying the game files, but others have had to delete EAC files from their pc first.

1. Verified game files
2. Allowed all the DBD and EAC files in all the fire-walls, anti-viruses and buil-in protections
3. Reinstalled the game
4. Tried reinstalling EAC, but the file just wont start. No logs saved. Not even in the Event Viewer in Windows
5. REINSTALLED WINDOWS

Nothing works
It just wont start

The moment I sent the previous message, I started DBD and it works smoothly
I think this game gaslights me into going crazy

I just verify game files which usually does the trick. This is after receiving different messages when the game crashes. To all different notifications file verification seems to be the viable solution.

bro i verified the files and multiple errors just keeps on popping up, even when im logged in ://

This might (just might) be connected to VPN or other stuff that plays with your connection. Today 3/3 attemps to start the game with the VPN on failed and 4/4 attempts to start the game without VPN succeeded. Might be coincidence

How I got past this was to download another game with EAC and launch that before running DBD, unfortunately every time
Tried reinstalling. Nope. Tried verifying. Nope. Tried reinstalling windows. Nope. Tried an official response from a dev on the DBD reddit. Nope.
This is the only thing that works for me so every time I want to play DBD I launch Brawlhalla first (it's free on steam and about one gig? I saw others saying Guild Wars 2 does it for them but I'm not downloading like 80 gigs for an EAC client.)
I launch Brawlhalla, wait for it to open, immediately close it at main menu and then open DBD and it just works. Idk why but hopefully that helps out/works for you!
Yeah it's been pretty annoying this hasn't been fixed yet, been forced to do this workaround since Dracula was released.

Just go into the easy anti cheat folder, which will be in your program files x86 likely and open easy anti cheat there. it quick launch whatever it needs to in the backround. reopen the game. it will play fine.. I bought this game had that errory and got pissed and I tried this and got super lucky that it fixed it..you wont have to worry about it again either. the easy anti cheat will work fine from then on out along with the game.

Tried this one myself and it didn't work (if it does for others, awesome!) for some reason for me the only workaround that actually works is launching Brawhalla first :|

Delete anti cheat folder in the dbd files. (Steam: rt click the game, local files, delete the whole thing labeled “easy anti cheat”

In your pc search bar, search %appdata% (I don’t remember if there’s a space)

Once there, search anti cheat. Delete it ALL. (Empty recycling)

Verify game files of dbd (right click game again, properties, I don’t remember the exact tab name, files something maybe?)

Steam will check the files and require anticheat stuff, like 27 files or something?

Launch game to see if it worked

Solved it for me

This is obviously a game issue at this point. This many people (add me into the mix) having the same problem means EAC needs fixed in general.
