Mori without any add ons or perks
Recently I have been playing killer a lot and I have been getting the mori pop up allowing me to instantly kill a survivor without having anything in my load out that allows that. I've seen some other posts of it happening written by survivors mostly saying its hacks. I don't have any hacks and its still popping up for me sometimes no matter the survivors hook state. I think it might be a bug or something. I play friendly killer a lot and when I am not playing friendly I won't use the mori if it pops up without me having the add on as I find that wrong. I haven't seen anyone in the discussions talking about this from the killers point of view so I wanted to add this here. Has any other Killer mains had this happen to them?

they changed it so you can mori the last survivor if he is downed. no bug/cheats/exploit
i dont see mori as toxic so i often use it as i belive it dosent affect the gameplay and just gives u a cute animation to finish the game with
I agree that its def not toxic! it only felt toxic when I thought it was a bug lol! Thank you for letting me know!

many people see mori as toxic simply because of the culture around it in early DbD days. I still find myself seeing it as toxic even though I know thats not the point of it.

For context, early days of DbD the only way to mori was to bring the iridescent offering (since no killers had built in ways to mori yet) and it was very much seen as a thing in the sense of "instead of bringing an offering to get more bloodpoints or to make hooks closer or to go to a map you like you chose to bring the only offering that provides very little value just so you could kill survivors instead of walking the 5 feet to the hook" and many people in the community treated it like that. These days that's not really the case since there are a handful of killers who have the ability to mori baked into their abilities. The mori offerings are still seen as kinda toxic though but not nearly as much as they used to be.

I still think they shouldn't have reverted the mori offering changes, i really liked the idea of those offerings just giving a huge bp bonus for using the mori on the last surv.

It's not the time saving aspect why ppl see Moris as toxic. Back in the days you could Mori on first down. So if you managed to find and down someone in the first 10 sec he would get morid. Then Bhvr changed it to 1 hook requirement, and then 2 hook requirement as we know it today.
So yes, the old old Mori was busted ( call it toxic if you want) but the new Mori System is not. And Yes there are Killers who slug for the 4k mori but tbh these guys were slugging for the 4k even before the patch.

Of course, the old mori was also the only real way to still get kills after the survivors had successfully destroyed every single hook on the map. And since this was a meta strategy, it happened a lot.

Also true and thx for reminding me...:steamsad:

Let us be happy together both is no longer possible
I find it not toxic, but it is highly annoying. I wasn't aware of this update at all. And it is so annoying against toxic killers. I've seen too many toxic killers. I personally hate that they did that cause then it leads to more slugging and nothing gets done. It feels too unbalanced and more in favor of the killer because of it.
I've been having killers that mori me when i'm at no hooks, i'm not the last person, not the obsession, and they have no add on's or perks that allow it. I don't know whats happening.

Yep. But they won’t add basekit unbreakable to ATTEMPT to balance this new “feature.”

do you even play killer? it changes nothing and what u are saying is nuts, hell no, why tf would anyone want this, ub is a super strong perk, it will be like adding basekit pain res, no thx!
Edit: i changed my mind, lets also add ds basekit and make survivors have sprint burst of hooks

huh????? if someone is slugging you mid game then its not due to this change its just normal sluging, the only time you will get slugged for the mori is at endgame when the killer waits for the final person to die

Jeez guys - Mori = Toxic since when?
When I find out the killer had a mori I literally beg them to kill me so I can be Mori'd.

As killer and survivor it is literally the most fun thing about the game.

Mori offerings save you from having to walk to a hook sometimes.
They give you a super minor buff in exchange for spending an offering.

How are they any more toxic than a map offering or a putrid oak or something?
