Scene Partner doesn't work with Hardened. Why?
Hardened: anytime you would scream, reveal the Killer's aura instead.
Scene Partner: Whenever you look at the Killer, scream, then see the Killer's aura

So what I thought would happen is as follows, Scene Partner would make you scream but Hardened suppress your scream and makes you see the killer aura instead. HOWEVER, when combined, you never scream and you will never see the killer aura.

Am I missing something?

In order to get the aura you NEED to scream. Since Hardened or Calm Spirit prevents you from screaming, you can't have aura reading.

The same happens for Object of Obsession and any perk that hides your aura.

That for scene partner yes, but hardened say anytime you would scream you will see killer aura instead. So, you will see the killer aura using Hardened instead of Scene Partner. The latter would just activate hardened condition.

Wait, why isn't the scream cancelling part of Hardened on the description of the perk ? Because Hardened works like Calm Spirit, it makes you not scream when you should, hence why it doesn't work with Scene Partner.

As for the scream, since Hardened negates the scream from Scene Partner, it doesn't activate the aura reading. It's not like you took a hit or a shock from the Doc, you AVOID the screaming action of the perk ^^

Wonder mechanically how it's programmed but what I do know is the game reads your perks not at the exact same time but from left to right so take that as you will.

Example Unbreakable + No Mither if used and in that order on the perk screen will burn your unbreakable but No Mither + Unbreakable will instead prioritise No Mithers get up keeping your unbreakable.

Not the greatest example but you get the general drift

Ugh my head >.<
If Hardened didn't make me scream from Scene Partner, then I should see the killer aura because it literally says anytime you would scream, reveal the Killer's aura instead.

Yeah I understood what you meant, but in this case both perks are working as intended (Getting up from the ground).
As for Hardened and Scene Partner, if Hardened is working and neglecting the scream from Scene Partner, then It should also show me the killer aura, if not then that means it not working and I should scream from Scene Partner normally....right?

The devs have confirmed that this combo of perks is working as intended on the official forums. Hardened will prevent Scene Partner of working as it demands you to scream to get the benefit and Hardened prevents you from screaming. The description is indeed little bit vague and it would not hurt to rewrite it to be more clearer.

I know this, but Hardened doesn't give you any aura reading. If Hardened is successfully preventing you from screaming, it should then grant you the aura reading.

At this point it a broken combo and partially working.

Scream = reveal aura, IF you don't scream then don't reveal aura

This true for Scene Partner only.

Hardened = You about to scream > You don't scream > You see killer aura instead.

Since there is no direct action that leads you to scream (like I said, a hit from the killer or a shock from Doc/bottle from Clown), it just doesn't do anything. That's all.

As I said, it's the exact same thing with Object of Obsession and any perk that hides your aura. In theory, you should be able to see the aura of the killer when the perk activates and get the speed boost, however since your aura is not revealed, the perk just does nothing. It's the same here with Hardened.
