What Happened to all the Crows?? (Invocation: Treacherous Crows)
Invocation: Treacherous Crows: After spending 60 seconds casting the perk with the salt circle in the basement you become injured. For the rest of the trial anytime a survivor is the the killer's terror radius and the KILLER scares a crow, the killer's aura is revealed to all survivors for 1-3 seconds

After experiencing a few matches where the new survivor's perk was used by a teammate, I strongly feel Treacherous Crows is a hindrance on DBD as a whole in its current state. Invocation perks in general are not off to a great start with Sable's weaving spiders typically resulting in teammates killing themselves on hook out of frustration whenever anyone tries to use it. I personally tried out a few builds with the perk and found even when survivors stick around for the match, it was getting us killed more often than it was helping. The only saving grace Weaving Spiders has going for it is that it saves time against gen regression builds as the effect of the perk is guaranteed and permanent--even still--perks like prove thyself do a much better job without any prerequisites for its value.

This is NOT the case with Treacherous Crows. Why the devs decided to add a RNG based perk with such a terrible trade off of injuring yourself for the entire match beats me. It's an especially strange choice given the map edits they've made which significantly reduce the amount of crows across the game. If you haven't noticed, crows have practically been regulated to the very edge of maps to help killers find stealthy survivors. I never see killers running spies from the shadows and I suspect it's due to the ridiculously low crow counts leaving any other detection perk as a better choice.

As a long-time player of the game, I remember when crows had a more promising future for the game. They add an important environmental detail and reward observant players on both sides. A memory that's stuck with me over the years was playing swamp maps for the first time and being terrified to enter the main boat/building because of the cacophony of crows that would sound. I used to get excited at the prospect of more devilish critters joining their ranks overtime--in part to the old calm spirit description. Though apart from some roaches and rats which are nothing more than set dressing, it seems safe to say there a bit of an outdated mechanic in a game that's tucked the idea away.

I would've kept my big mouth shut too if it weren't for the addition of a perk that indirectly nerfs solo queue that illuminates just how few crows remain among the maps.

How is this an RNG perk? It has a specific way to activate it, and a specific action that causes it to trigger. It's not dramaturgy

I have to disagree with your port just a little bit. I bought the new survivor and unlocked the perks for my main - and decided to play a couple of games. Not many, so this isn't a huge sample size.
Pairing Treacherous Crows with Eyes of Belmont allowed me to see the killer practically all game. This worked for multiple games in a row, though did not work at all against a Spirit or Wraith.
It works a lot better when the killer has a big terror radius, though.
